    GT40 Tubular intake vehicles????

I just read this thread: http://www.badassmustangs.com/forums/index.php/topic,6876.0.html Now that I think about it, I think it was a '94 truck I saw that upper on. I know there about 5 '96-'97 exploders out there... So I could grab the upper and the explorer lower and that would work?

    GT40 Tubular intake vehicles????

Well that's not cool:rlaugh: I think I will just wait and see if anyone buys the RPM2 then make a decision.

    GT40 Tubular intake vehicles????

at least one: 1994 Ford Lightning Conceptualized and developed by Ford truck engineers as the ultimate sport truck, the earliest versions of Lightning were designed to compete against the Chevy 454SS and most sports cars of its day. The driving enjoyment offered is comparable to the...

    GT40 Tubular intake vehicles????

Can anyone tell me what vehicles came with the GT40 tubular intakes? I could have sworn I saw a full sized 150 van at the pick and pull that had one, and I just did not even think it would be the same one. Anyone?

    Edelbrock RPM 2 intake... whoops???

Unfortunately the Intake is now installed (but never started/run). I know that I want to switch it out to the GT-40 intake, maybe one that is ported by a pro like Tom. I saw the dyno numbers for the intakes he has done, and the lower range that his are producing the maximum power in is...

    Edelbrock RPM 2 intake... whoops???

That is the exact reason for the switch idea. I will want way more torque down in the RPM range. I am pretty sure I want to make the switch, but now I have find someone who wants the RPM2...

    Edelbrock RPM 2 intake... whoops???

Yup, I am thinking the same thing. My question is this; if I do decide to go with the GT-40, why is it so important to port it? Wouldn't that just get me back to the same flow numbers of the RPM2?

    Edelbrock RPM 2 intake... whoops???

I have been reading posts by tmoss and other intake pros, and I have to make a choice on intakes. I jumped the gun and bought the RPM2 intake. Now after reading a bunch, and I mean a bunch of posts, I think I made the wrong choice. Here are the stats: AFR 165 heads, 1.6 RR's, Xtreame Energy...

Help! Identify this part from a '68 column- and a PN and a vendor please!

My bad, I thought that was the top of the column. Wake and Stangnet can be bad for your health.

Help! Identify this part from a '68 column- and a PN and a vendor please!

I believe it is the turn signal canceling ring? It has been a while since I had mine appart though. My book is at the shop with the car so I am not able to clarify. But now that I think about it, I think it may be called a "column sleeve"? Sorry, I am sure that did not help a bit

    what cam

I went through this same question when I did mine. I ended up with the Comp Cams xtreme energy 270. From what I was able to find from all the import is that the cam would give me nice balance of go with driveability. Unfortunately I have not started the car up, but I am looking at 2 wks until...

How much pressure from AOD lines???

I am putting in new hard lines then connecting to a new Trans cooler. The weak link in the lines I would assume are the rubber lines to the hard lines. Does anyone know how much pressure I am looking at? The Cooler just has slip fittings w/ clamps. I could not find the answer anywhere.

    Howdy strangers (plus an update)

How cool. I am entering the "exhaust shop" stage right now and should be able to get her purring by Valentines day. I love her ya know. :rlaugh: I will post some pics soon, if I can find the original pics of what the car looked like when I got it. Cool for you! Thanks for all your input...

Comp Cams installation... are they for real?

Well, I am just finally getting to the point of starting this beast up after two years and I am running through the 10,000 things I learned and forgot since I first started the project. I looked up an old PDF from them when I first thought I was going to start it up and funny... that paragraph...

Comp Cams installation... are they for real?

Per Comp cams: "On hydraulic and mechanical (solid) flat tappet cams that require dual valve springs, the inner spring must be removed during break-in. This allows the lifters to establish rotation and develop a good wear pattern. Do these guys have any idea how difficult it is to take off...

    Crap, my brakes won't release

Update- Just purchased a new set of calipers, $34 buck for both!!!! (Checker Auto Parts... and the outer Tie Rod ends were only $15 each so I replaced them too). I pulled the old calipers off and used a pump to push the fluid in the lines back into the MC and it worked fine. I dumped the...

    Crap, my brakes won't release

It is not the brake booster output rod causing pressure on the MC. Any other ideas? Could gunk/dirt in the MC or portioning valve cause the trouble?

    Crap, my brakes won't release

I have the day off, so I am heading over to work on the car this morning. COOOOOOLLLLLD here in Colorado. I will unbolt the MC and see if it releases the brakes. If that is not the issue, what else could it be? I will take some pics of my setup and post them in a little bit.

    Crap, my brakes won't release

I will check that in the morning, but how much pressure would it take to keep it from releasing? I think if anything, it might have one turn too much. I wanted to make sure that I had quick pedal response, so there was just barely a turn over "just barely touching the MC plate".

    Crap, my brakes won't release

I am getting so close to getting this project on the road. I finally finished the Granada swap and new lines front and back. Did the 4 line bleed, but now the front disc's won't release. They are clamped down tight. Here is what I have 89 Mustang 2.3L brake booster and MC, Granada brakes...
