    Any engine mod you do to your car in CA has to have a CARB EO number that corresponds to your vehicle. Its real simple.

    No actually they are right. Changing the gear ratio means that they might have to shift out of 2nd gear on a loaded (dyno) smog test. Also you have to reprogram your computer to account for the new ratio, and any programming must have a CARB EO number.

    Whats the complaint here? Seriously anytime i have bought or used a "used" or "junkyard" rear end assembly i have had them rebuilt. There is no telling how long they have sat with or without fluid and what other contamination in there.

    going off of memory, but the Ford number should be 2R3Z-9072-AA if you go into the dealer. Whenever i sell a fuel pump assy. on a mustang i sell one of those grommets.

    can I use a fox body rear in my 96 gt

    suspension pick-up points are identical. the housing itself is narrower and hte axle shafts are shorter. using a fox body rear end in a SN95 or New edge lets you run wider tyres generally.

    btw youre never supposed to top off brake fluid. low brake fluid on a vehicle with disc brakes generally indicates the caliper pistons are extended so you most likely have pads that are thinning out or else under spec rotors.

    MGP Caliper Covers

    I have some serious concerns about these in the area of brake fade. The S197 is already woefully underbraked and prone to brake fade on road courses, and it would seem these covers block airflow over the caliper and store heat in them. Just some clarification would be nice.

    Tell me about it, Volvo says 91 is technically below the minimum the car was designed for. If i drive it hard i average 18-19mpg, if i try to save gas i get maybe 21-22.

    Oil weight and car smoking

    In Australia they run 5w40 in modular motors that are built in the US. Sounds like leaking valve stem seals or worn guides, changing oil weight or adding a bottle of snake oil wont fix it.

    they wont fit. Angry Duck Tofu Racing makes long tubes and matching midpipe for your Vic if you dont have emissions inspections in your area.

    Use the Motorcraft Platniums. There is no performance advantage to the copper ones unless you like changing them out every year.
