    2000 Cobra R's have the 4 pot Brembos calipers but they use a 13" rotor that is identical to the 1994-2004 Cobra rotors. I had the 2000 R setup on my 98GT and i was able to buy generic cobra replacements. the 2007+ GT500 uses 14" rotors.

    Input shaft seal most likely. Get that fixed pretty quickly before it takes out your clutch.

    The codes off the cluseter are NOT diag codes. Get them pulled with a scan tool and read us those numbers. They shoudl be Pxxxx, Bxxxx, Cxxxx, Uxxxx. The x's represent numbers.

    Ive seen it a lot actually. We will get people calling in asking how much parts cost that dont exist on vehicles that a shop is trying to sell them. Dont know how many times ive had to explain that Mazda 3's dont have timing belts.

    You mentioned you had a 5 speed. There is no filter on the Manual transmissions. Did a shop do the work for you? if they said they cleaned the filter that does not exist then whats to say they didnt do all the other work.

    The rears will not work IIRC, they use a different mounting configuration due to the IRS on the cobras. If you really really want Bilstein, just buy Bilstein HDs for your application.

    spec is 19ft-lb for the drain plug. People over tighten those a lot and strip them out.

    whats the brand and part number pad set you got. A lot of parts people miss the difference between cobra and GT pads.

    Engine block VIN # for 4.6L

    Ford does not put VINs on engine blocks or transmissions. Which is why when people say their classic is numbers matching they are talking out of their poop shoot. The most there will be is there might be a barcode with build date on one of the valve covers and it may have a VIN.
