    No it won't. The turbo exhaust bolts to the engine about 6" away from where the n/a exhaust bolts up. It's not even close. Besides the fact that a good turbo exhaust system is 3" and the n/a stuff is barely 2". Save your money, do it all after the swap.

    If you can't find one, just remove it, put a thin layer of jb weld on it to fill all the pits, then turn/sand it down to stock size again...it will work fine. We do this on old boat propshafts and it's cheap and easy.

    Like I said, it's a used part only kind of deal...junkyard or ebay time. A complete used 2.3 bellhousing shouldn't bring more than 20-30 bux max.

    The merkur kits seem to be the most troublesome to install, mainly because the downpipe area is so small it's hard to get a 3" pipe in there. Once it is installed correctly (takes patience and a lift preferably), the rest is a cake walk.

    Cone filters are proven to be good for 12-15rwhp...now get rid of that puny exhaust and you'll see another 35+rwhp. Edit: It at least looks like puny exhaust in the pics, though it sounds like you've done something to it...

    It should idle around 28-30 degrees with the spout in, never 16 at idle...are you sure the distributor was tight when you were testing this?
