    That's my beef. I'd get 3.55s if you're going to street race at all. I burn rubber halfway or all the way through second depending on the pavement quality and I have 3.73s and a stock h/c/i 5.0.

    What kind of chip/programer should i buy?

    Go with a custom SCT burn. The chip itself should be about $400 and should hold up to 4 seperate tunes if ever needed. You also won't need to pay for another chip if you need another tune due to a changing/changed combo, you'll just pay for dyno tuning at the shop.

    A polymer box by its self is overkill for a stock engine. No point in replacing it when the restriction is in the lower intake. The stock heads are more of a restriction than the stock upper.
