part of the answer to a very good question

temp Yeah....that sensor probe is good for like 43526435628436435263 HP if you drop in on the furnace. So many dyno operators.....so little integrity =o) Another thing too is setting up test profiles correctly. A "good" dyno will allow the test to automatically begin and end at the same...

part of the answer to a very good question

I work for, uhhhhhhhh..... huh huh huhuhuh huh huh...that was cool. Damn meat.....shooting for the "C" and hit an "S".....THAT's a fat finger! What the hell happened to the private message buttons in this damn forum? ...Maybe that was another forum.... What are these forums coming...

part of the answer to a very good question

Good question. The answer isn't so simple but to try and keep it simple... it comes down to: -The tuner and his ability -The dyno -The dyno operator -Fuel quality -Conditions (all of these variables are much bigger than listed here) For instance, dynojets read higher than Mustangs...

What size (OEM) MAF does the '03 Cobra come with?

...and it's not the "right" way to do it. What kind of tune is it?

What size (OEM) MAF does the '03 Cobra come with?

... Well, you can make it run on the stock mass air....doesn't mean it should run this way. If you peg the maf and manipulate the other table it refers to when it pegs the maf....you can maipulate it just right......until conditions change and it can't compensate because the MAF doesn't...

What size (OEM) MAF does the '03 Cobra come with?

There are a few things that can be done to the transfer function to help the issue with pegging the stock mass air, but if you have a KB and want it tuned correctly, you will need a mass air upgrade.

What size (OEM) MAF does the '03 Cobra come with?

boost Doesn't surprise me.....I've seen it happen. Everyone keeps talking boost.....remember, boost is pretty much irrelevant. Boost is nothing but a measure of backpressure in the system from a given mass or air coming in. here's why I don't like going by PSI: My boost dropped by...

What size (OEM) MAF does the '03 Cobra come with?

.. Meat..... I have some data acquisition that will show if you are close to running out of counts. If I were to port the blower and add a lower pulley or upgrade to a whipple or KB, I would require a mass air upgrade...not because of size, but because of electronics. Blown96bird...

What size (OEM) MAF does the '03 Cobra come with?

Your C&L will need a custom program by someone capable. I know this sounds basic, but most custom tuners don't have a clue how to set up the transfer function properly. I wouldn't use the MAF upgrade until I had the pulley, and even then I would only use it if the factory unit ran out of...

03 cobra going on dyno. I have ?????

Holy crap! I have them........I just forgot all about it. I've been doing all the gas AND diesel stuff (lost a guy) and I forgot to send you dyno sheets. Call me at work tomorrow and I will e-mail you all of the runs with data. How's the beast runnin? Going for a pulley soon...

    03 cobra Upgrade pullie?

There are also a lot of mis-tuned cars out there. You are one of those with a good tune and so is JDM. An upper lower combo works well at the track with a ported blower, headers, etc.... You'll see a boost drop after porting and instaling headers but the volume (mass) of air coming in will...

    More "oomph" with Trac off??

I programmed my chip to leave traction 'off' all the time so I don't have to remember to push the button. As far as I'm concerned, traction control is completely unnecessary on any car. You should feel it on a GM! By the time it actually kicks in you already have traction again! It also fels...

How to lower a 03 Cobra?

... Inflammatory! I love it! I'll have to use that one...... =o) What would I do with a predator.....hmmmmmm That's a good question. I think I would hang it off the shower head by it's programing cable and tell people it's my shower clock radio.....cuz it sure as hell wouldn't come...

    Newbie (cobra anyway) Question

Borla and Magnaflow are functionally the same and sound similar. Borls without headers (I've heard it) does not sound near as sweet as headers with magnaflows. I imagine headers with borla would sound similarly sweet.

    03 cobra Upgrade pullie?

I believe you are correct in the numbers eaton claims is "safe". KNOCK ON WOOD..... I've never seen a failure on a 2.8 Hell, I know a guy who had a 2.7 upper, a 6 LB (steering wheel=o) lower, raced it incessantly and never had a failure. Calculate THAT RPM....LOL! This is a bit silly...

Who All Runs Synthetic In Their 03 Cobra??

A few facts about oil: (Most of you probably know this already) 5w20 stands for "5 winter 20" The "5" is the relative weight of the oil at 70 degrees farenheit, the 20 is the weight at an average operating temp. any colder than 70 and the "5" gets thicker. any hotter than normal...

Anyone who tunes, wants to tune or is interested should read this

It isn't always quite that simple, but the theory is. The particular problem he is talking about goes away with a change of one value....that is correct. The MAF table only reads to a certain voltage (or number of "counts") in the stock calibration. This max number of counts is often...
