    9500 sounds about right, especially if body/interior is clean btw, what did you do to mod the stock rails? Ive heard stock rails flow good, the stock lines from tank are the weak point, and that you can run fat lines from tank that plug direct to stock rails.

    I totally agree, the ebay/china stuff has a bad rap , but like you said its a good starting point, can replace/upgrade parts as they break or funds allow. Hopefully have mine boosted this summer, only looking to run like 6-8 psi

    with #1 at TDC (of compresion stroke, important) drop in dizzy with the rotor pointed at the #1 plug (little counter-clockwise of #1 actually)

    no idea on the push rods, roller rockers are a good idea for sure, adjust timming by rotating the distributer, timming light helps, I just advance till it pings then back it off a hair.

    1- I coat cam in lucus oil stabilizer before installing, thats it as far as break-in procedures go 2- springs need to be able to handle the lift of that cam .542 I think, most double springs handle that much fine. 3- dot to dot is fine, if you wanna get fancy you need a degree wheel/mic and...

    hopefully I'll soon have a similar set-up as you guys, plan is a 70mm turbo with systemax H/C and stockish cam,stock bottom end. Goal is 10s at @125 with 6-8psi, bump up psi if I have to. Streetability is top priority, rather have a 12 second DD than a 10 second car that sits in the garage...

    yeah I had bad luck with the M/T DRs also, best 60 was a 2.1 (1.6 with slicks) I have no idea how guys are 1.4 on these, DRs seem to be much more automatic friendly

    24 or 30lbs injectors with matching MAF meter(70-80mm), 255lph pump. these need to be done asap, once you have more cash get 65 or 70mm TB and EGR, adjustable fuel pressure regulator.

    for a hi-performace build or un-naturaly asperated motor Id get a new set of head studs. Otherwise your fine IMO, but I bump up the torque specs by 5 or 10 lbs.
