    Are you sure the carb is adjusted right? ..in the vid when you rev the engine i can hear it suck in air..like a vacuum leak or a carb that's not getting the right amount of gas when you rev it. It does not sound like ignition missfire it sounds like fuel to me.

    Check the fan wiring again because if you hot wired it so it will stay running.Then the fan could turning the wrong way and pushing the hot air out instead of pulling in the cold air..causing it to run hot.

    Did you replace the clutch fork? because the two fingers on the fork that holds the throw out bearing in place would also cause the sound.     Sounds like an exhaust leak to me..but it could also be the timing since you had to move the distributor to replace the TFI module . Did you mark the base of the distributor before you moved it replaced the TFI module ?

    Did you use shims under your rocker arms ? ..because sometimes you will need to use shims to get the right preload on the lifters. Every engine/combo is different ..some will need shims and some don't.

    You can just go to autozone or advance and buy a distributor that comes with a new module.It will have a limited lifetime warranty but just make sure you get the distributor that has steel gears. And good luck on finding something that's made in America..half of the stuff under my hood said made...

    An old hose plus 6K rpm would cause that to happen...pressure does that to pipes and hoses. How old was that hose? because it looks pretty old from the pic.

    Well the only thing i can tell you that it's an 89 gt hatchback..but that's good at least you know it's a factory V8 car. Just make sure it runs good and looks good and have a clear/clean title and you should be okay.

    If you have the stock cam get the 1.7 and they will clear just remove the baffle inside the valve cover and you can use the stock push rods. But every engine is different and you may need to shim a few of them if you tighten/adjust them and a few feel loose.

    Battery voltage with the engine at idle should be 13.4-14.5 volts if the alternator is good. If your voltage was 12 volts then the alternator is not charging your battery with the engine running. Who checked it for you? ...because 12 volts is too low while the engine running and will not charge...
