    you know what? 25-30 lbs while driving is too low! I bet a new oil pump is in order!! The symptoms sounds like worn parts and better deal with it before internal damage is realized... Search on a way to test the pump or just replace it. gary

    I can't believe the thing runs at all!! Does it crank on start-up "quickly" like the plugs were out? Do a compression check to determine the health of your rotating assembly before digging in. I suspect this was an opical illusion

    do the stock gauges work as well? Do both OP gauges indicate this condition?

    You're distributor shaft wobbles?? Get a new distributor and check that the cleaned oil pump still works...when it seized the gear may have stripped...watch that.

    Buy a new battery make it a die hard listen. Batteries last 5 years if they are a good brand. Cheapies last 2 years. If your voltmeter reads that a charge is produces but not retained...it can only be the battery. (Obviously make sure the connections are clean, sanded, corrosive spray, new...

    wheel cylinders pull the boot on the wheel cylinder. It can slow- leak past the piston but stay in the boot keeping a dry appearence and a full fluid level. If fluid drips from the wheel cylinder (and I assume you have rear drums) replace both wheel cylinders. Let us know how you make...

    I called dwane. He says he does not have any but supplied me with this: CH AUTO in Jackson NJ 732-928-3713 So I called them and they have 'em and they are less than one hour away. I'm there tomorrow! woo-hoo!

    I called Bill, He says he has some for me to look at. It's over an hour away. I'll drive up tomorrow to look. He said an older hatch has extra bumpers to prevent the wobble that chips the paint off the quarter panels. Will the harness for that work?

    He has many in stock he says. He says they run from $150 - 350 and shipping is $200.- Should I wait until winter when I'll go up to New Hampshire to visit friends (I'm in NJ) or just pay the F'in shipping and be happy. It wiuld be a PITA to sqeeze it in my truck with all the luggaage...
