Can I make this stuff work together?

So I have decided to put the 2.3 w/ the mazda 5-speed in the II. Do you guys think it is at all possible to use the ranger pedal assembly to do this? Can I swap the pedal assemblies between my 79 (was manual) and the II (auto)? Or am I going to need to scavange some parts off of a II...

whats the easiest way to geta crank pulley off

I have wrapped an old belt around the crank and used that to hold it before. It is a pain though. A portable impact would be your best bet and an excuse to buy more tools. :D

I know the 2.3 was nice and peppy around town. A little more to be desired on the top end, but was fun to drive nonetheless. I am on the lookout for a 2.3 Turbo, but cash flow is tight at the moment and I think the 2.3 N/A will suffice for now. So can I assume the tranny will bolt up to the 2.3??

    Modified Taillights on eBay

And to top it off -> "the left lens cracked at one of the mount tabs when I was setting the reflector, it does not affecting the lens itself and I put a coat of epxoy over it. The left housing has the remains of 2 screws still in it (with some work they could probably be taken out). Lens gasket...

I was hoping to bolt in a 2.3 out of a 90's ranger I have. Basically just looking to replace the wheezy V6 currently in there. The ranger has the mazda 5-speed. I know I would have to get a flexplate to match up. Do not plan on putting the 5-speed in as of yet since it is hydraulic clutch...

Any thoughts on Costco & other generic gas?

I bought gas at Cosco when I lived in NY. Cheaper and my car ran fine. A couple places in Boston have cheap gas. One sells absolute 'Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me', but the other place is great. But I am sure it all depends on the individual stastion. I have heard each station adds...

Sorry to hear, man. Keep your head up and the Lord in your heart and it will all work out. Life will always have those trying times. You just need to persevere. Hope all works out well between you too and for your daughter.

Rear End! From 7.5 to 8.8 HELP!

Check the tag to figure out gearing or count how many times the pinion spins to one rev of the rear wheel. Bring some wd-40, breaker bar, piece of pipe to slip over the breaker bar, some sort of punch and hammer to remove old bolts after removing nuts. Your guess is as good as mine on the...

You will have to decide since it is your car, but check out www.bigblockfox.com for some BB'ed cars. I like how the 460 sits in my engine bay, but it is a heavy mother.

Rear End! From 7.5 to 8.8 HELP!

I went from a 79 to 96 and the fittings were slightly different, but I used a 3/16" brake line union from lappen's and a 3/16" x 20" (double check the length) from autozone. Just unhook the hardline from the existing rubber line. And install the union in its place. Then route the new line from...
