    Finally figured it out...

    Retro has no staying power???? Why do I see more PT cruisers then anything else on the road? They seem to still be going strong. Not to mention, the 60's stangs still look good a lot more then 10 years down the road. That was just a stupid statement.

    What I based the 40k on was the turbo 6 that the article in CandD was really on. They barely mentioned the 5.4 v8 since the v6 was so close in power. If I remember correctly, it only gets 12mpg anyway.

    Absolutely. The 01/02 fbody put 300 to 310hp tp the wheels and easily hit low 13's. I never saw a non GM specific mag claim lower then 13.8 though.
