    MIL eliminators required???

At $60 it's worth looking into making your own. See: http://www.cougardb.com/howtoshow.php?howtoid=8 These will cost you about $8. It's worth a try. I am.

Help me w/ Check engine light

    What was the code?

    P1443

Yes. I had the P1443 code and it turned out being the Flow Sensor. It is very common for this sensor to go bad on not just Mustangs but on a lot of Fords. Notice the "-BA" in the part number. It has been redesigned/improved.

    Leather Conditioner

Forget the crap the automotive stores sell. I use Coach or Wilsons leather conditioner.

    New member with X-Pipe questions

Try making your own: http://www.cougardb.com/howtoshow.php?howtoid=8 Probably cost you about $5 with parts left over to sell yourself.

    sequential taillights

I have them and love them. One benefit is the brake lights are much brighter since the kit illuminates the other lamp in the housing on each side; 3 lamps instead of 2. I got mine from http://www.ponyperformance.com/ . Only $86 (includes shipping). They sequence at the right speed. I've...

Hood scoops and side scoops ????

For all those guys that like fake scoops...save that for the aftermarket. Let those that like it so much do it to their own cars! I don't want to have to buy it because a "faked scooped" car is all that is available from the factory!

Hood scoops and side scoops ????

F those G-D, motherless, POS, Ricey-look'n, fake, wanna-be, looks like a$$, frigg'n ugly, non-functional scoops!!! Period! Also, what looks worse is a sticker that is supposed to look like a G-D, motherless, POS, Ricey-look'n, fake, wanna-be, looks like a$$, frigg'n ugly, non-functional...

To high flow cat or not to high flow cat?

I have the Bassani catted Xpipe. PA does the sniffer test and with only 500 miles on the cats the car just barely passed emmissions (HydroCarbons: 75; limit:76) Good luck passing the sniffer test with aftermarket cats. I'm sure there are some aftermarket ones better than others but none come...

no MIL Elims on an o/r pipe... safe?

If you are running too rich you have other problems. ---- One can make MIL Eliminators for about $3.00. http://www.cougardb.com/howtoimages/scem.gif I have a Bassani Catted X-pipe and every 7,000 miles it lights the MIL for a day or two and then it goes away for another 7,000 miles...

    Functional side scooops

It's funny how/why Ford does some things. The '94 thru mid '95 models, the side scoops flowed through and exited the inner rear fender wheelwell. (The scoops didn't do anything but at least air could go through.) Then to reduce interior road noise or to save money and skip the step to punch...

    180 T-Stat installed

True, but what is the optimum operating temperature? Some cars (cobras) came from the factory with 180F T-Stats. Mine being one of them.

    Functional side scooops

Why don't you make them less noticeable by installing the Bullet scoops. The only thing ugly on the 99-04 cars are those fuggly side scoops. Without them the 99-04 cars would be one of the best looking Mustangs. !Oh, the hoods are ugly too except the 99+ Cobra style hood.

Are the 4.6's and 5.4's big blocks or small blocks?

It may be built by Yamaha but there are quite a bit Fords with them in it. You must be tearing down a lot V6's then.

Help! Spark Plug keeps blowing out of engine

It wouldn't surprise me if Ford in order to save a few pennies in tooling and casting material, to cheap out on a head. I will be amazed if Ford is still in business in 10 years. Pretty soon there will be no such thing as an American manufacturer anymore. ...Or, maybe they are so desperate to...

Are the 4.6's and 5.4's big blocks or small blocks?

The mod motors are wide because the height of the heads are huge since the cams sit on top. The V8's you speak of above from Ford are ALL 90 degrees. In fact, I can't think of any V8 (Ford, GM, Chrysler...) that isn't 90 deg. Not sure about the small V8s like the SHO and the LS for example...

    Snow Driving Question

I did give you some credit. I wasn't thinking you were going to pour the contents into the trunk. :bang: Having a bag of salt in the trunk is just asking for a mess in the event that the bag gets cut or the contents leak out. Salt + metal + moisture = rust and Salt loves moisture.
