    I have Sumitomo HTR's also and I have to say I'm pretty impressed in the snow compared to my Dunlop 5000S, BFG KDWS and BFG CompT/A's.

    200#'s of salt!!!!?? You will rot that car out and that is too much weight. Screw that idea. Just buy two 60# bags of sand and place them behind the taillights. Oh, I'm a sports car guy and I drive 12months/year in a sports car.

    :bs: For the last 10 years I have only driven Mustangs and have done fine. You just have to know how to drive and know when to park it. A set of good tires and a little weight in the back (sand bags and/or a full tank of gas) you should be fine.

    Curious, how did you test this? I can't think of one instance where a manufacturer doesn't have some sort of A/C cutout at WOT. -- The evaporator is still cold that is why is seems that it is still working. The blower for the vents has nothing to with the operation of the compressor...

    I've seen stock Mach1's run 13.20's to 13.40's. Very fast cars. Just an FYI, the A/C shuts off at wide open throttle (WOT) anyway.
