    On mine I just got the HD A/C springs and cut a coil or two off of them. The rear was as-is. My front tires are 195/60R14s and probably the smallest/narrowest I'd ever put on a 14x7 wheel. For the front, you could get 2" drop spindles which are pretty reasonable thanks to the hot rodders...

    I can attest to the mechanics of the SSM bars. I run mainly street tires and the car seems to bite decently. These bars actually cause the ass-end to raise-up when you lay into the throttle, effectively 'planting the tires' . Never had regular slapper bars do that. I've got old VHS video...

    Yeah those there are Lakewoods, probably re-boxed for Pep Boys. I had a set on my '78 T-Top. They worked good too, just not as nice as the SSM/Stumpy's lift bars. Actually the SSM bars caused the car to ride stiffer than the Lakewoods did.

    I'd just hunt for another chunk. It'll probably be pretty spendy to have someone rebuild it, but.... then you got all new stuff, and not a 30+ yr old question mark. Randy's Ring and Pinion, Summit, Jegs, all should carry what you need. Richmond and Motive Gear have a pretty good gear...
