    You gotta see this

I like it. I dunno if I would have used Corvette pieces or renditions on it, but rather GT40 or Panterra or something instead. I think it'd still be really cool to see it done. Some of those crazy 70's/80's cars are commin back. :nice: Can anyone say "Gumball Rally"???

    75 mach 1

Not a big fan of any II fastback that doesn't have a rear spoiler. To me they just don't look right. Same with '70+ Camaros. My current car is just a plain fastback V8 car and the only thing I have on it at this moment is the Cobra rear spoiler. Hell, I sold a '78 T-Top Cobra car and still hung...

    75 mach 1

Yep, that makes it a '75. And no 302 4 speeds were made in '75. Only V6 and I4 engines were available with the 4 speed. That doesn't mean that the V8 and 4 speed or just the 4 speed setup alone wasn't swapped in from another car. Even though, if you like the car and the swap job wasn't hachet...

    75 mach 1

Ditto on the rust check and check the suspected rust spots for extra thick bondo (filling the rust rather than repairing) I believe you've got more than $200 in parts, as long as the V8 and 4 speed setup are original MII units and are complete. I agree, buy it and if worse comes to worse, you...

    V-6 starter '76 mustangII

Well I have a couple V6 starters. Not sure if they are Auto or manual Trans starters. Quite possibly Auto starters but I can't recall there being much difference. One of the starters appears to be a reman and doesn't have any numbers on it at all. It does look to be the exact same as the one I...

    Limited Slip question

Only way i know how to checklimited slip units is with them still installed. There is a tool that adapts an older bar style (non click type) torque wrench to your wheel hub and with the opposide wheel on the ground or locked up in some manner, there is a torque value you look to be within before...

    solid motor mounts..........?

Well I've tried stuffing the Headmans into a '77 CBII with a 351W and an AOD. I got them to fit the 351W without too much trouble (just a little fab work) but no way no how will the cost-reasonable Headmans fit the AOD in a II. Now- Headman does make a super comp header that has all the tubes...

    removing rear quarter trim peice?

I'm thinking that one of the screws isn't accessable until you pull the glass. Maybe not. Either that or the stickum that helps hold the glass in, is hanging up on the trim.

    LOOKING FOR A VALANCE!......please?

IIRC Mustangs Unlimited makes a fiberglass one. They also make a fiberglass one with the chin spoiler integrated. I have one of these layin around here somewhere...

Oilpan options for 2.3 to 5.0 swap?

Yeah I've found that the manual rack is pretty forgiving in clearance. You can pretty much run a std. front sump oil pan with the manual rack. However, I don't think the MII V8 bellhousing will work then. The starter is clocked tighter to the oil pan and you'd have to modify the std. pan to...

    solid motor mounts..........?

If you're really gonna race this thing, a C4 is the only way to go. You can build a C4 to handle up to 1000 hp and possibly more depending on how rich you are. Finding someone to build you a 500 or 700 hp C4 is not to difficult anymore. They have become the hot ticket in racing...

    I needa rough HP estimate.

Well.... I'll tell you guys what. Your C/R isn't something to dink around with. I bought '78 Supercab with a 9.98:1 '71 460 that only has a little over 25k on the engine. And now I'm spending another $1100 rebuilding the bottom end because the damn pistons are comming apart from detonation. Of...

    manual brakes ??

Pinto stuff should work. I have yet to see a MII with manual brakes from the factory, not saying that they didn't make 'em.:)

    repairing original bumper!.......fun!.....NOT!

What welder found would probably work great. Just go to your local autobody paint supplier and tell them you need a flexible filler for your urethane bumpers. They should have something for you as almost every newer car has some amount of urethane parts on them anymore.

    removing rear quarter trim peice?

To get that lower quarter window trim off/out you'll need to remove the quarter glass. There are 2 or 3 small phillips screws holding the trim on underneath the glass. Stupid design, I never could understand it. This goes for both Coupes and Fastbacks. :nice:

Bellhousing, RAD 4-speed to 305 Help.
