    I put a sunpro 3 inch tach in the blank where the clock was in 1990. Clipped the light lead that comes with it, to supplement with a green from the dash, colored over the sunpro label with a paint pen...most people dont even realize its there. Easy and cheap!

    easy on him there hearne! We are here to learn! but yeah, even with more power it would take more to get it to stick to the ground and move the car forward. We are at a decent disadvantage to the newer guys in weight and suspension technology.

    I have an original (though not to my car) and I have at times had to wire my pop open gas cap shut because it does just that...pop open. This is normally only at the track, but it has happened during regular driving too.

    stand corrected. I was thinking that too about drilling the backing plates. There is room. could you not add some sort of funnel for catching air and nipple with hose for channeling it into the drum? I am sure that smarter people than I have probably already thought of this.

    Heres my thoughts....if it would have done any good and been structurally sound shelby would have done it already. I mean the man redesigned the complete suspention geometry by drilling a few holes and adjusting the alignment and ford couldnt figure that out.

    I am willing to bet its a spring that has broken and when you are taking it out you dont realize that its missing. I know its a pain, but see if you can take both sides out and compare. I am pretty sure I had this happen years ago and replaced the spring with a $.35 hardware store spring...
