    Why not a Richmond?

It all depends on which ratio your first gear is on the tranny. If it is 3.27 or 3.28, your first gear will be too steep with 3.89 or even 3.50, 3.25 would be pushin it . I have a 5 speed richmond with a 3.28 first gear and I originally had 3.50 gear in the rear, and 1st gear was unusable...

    Why not a Richmond?

im not sure what you mean by toploader replacement? I installed in a 68 stang, I think the only trimming I had to do, if memory serves me right, was the hole in the floor where the shifter handle comes through, I had to make that hole a little bigger one way or the other. and had a custom cross...

1969 Mach1 fuel gauge will not go past 1/4 full

those things work off of proper ohm ranges. but if you have the factory gauge and a factory/aftermarket stock style sender they should work together. are you sure the sender is in properly, maybe its in 180 degress off and the float is hitting the side of the tank, maybe there's only one way to...

    69 302 Boss block

I'd pull it apart, and if the pistons are still usable, find a std bore factory 289-302 block and bore it .030 re-assemble with new rings, bearings. I wouldnt waste the b302 block. you could sell the b302 block to fund this entire project, or save it for a rainy day. if you feel a stock...

On my 289/302/351w front timing cover, there are 2 areas where I always have a little coolant/water.
