    Phenomenal experience with Modern Speed

Lol. I just sent out the deposit for the power adder today. I will be picking everything up when I get home in about 2 weeks. The heads are being shipped out Wednesday, and MMR said it will be about 4 or 5 more weeks before the pistons are done being built. Can't wait to get the parts in my...

Looking to buy heads from MHS any advice

I'm not going to defend Nick by any means, because I think he was wrong in the whole situation that happened with Jake, but you have no dog in this fight. Quit posting up new threads about this. Everyone gets the point.

    she's alive!

Compressor surge usually happens when you let off the throttle. What you are hearing is not compressor surge, it is a BOV.

    she's alive!

Only thing I heard in that video was a BOV shuttering when he let off the gas. I am 100% positive a BOV will make that noise when mounted right by the intercooler. That is not compressor surge.

    she's alive!

Or it's having the BOV mounted close to the intercooler, and it makes the BOV have that shutter sound.

    ZEX users please chime in!

I mounted mine about 4 or 5" before the bend that leads into the TB and it did just fine.

    ZEX users please chime in!

I had mine mounted under the cold air intake, on the fender apron. Also, run the line outside the car. You want as few of bends as possible in the feed line.

    Phenomenal experience with Modern Speed

I don't really have any pictures to post at this moment. I am in Pennsylvania working right now, and the parts were delivered to my house in Arkansas. I will be home in a week or 2. Then I will get pictures posted. The car will have a T56 to start with, but will probably end up being switched...

    Phenomenal experience with Modern Speed

I haven't even posted up pictures of the car. It's a 98 GT. I actually bought a supercharged 96 cobra, then was offered a good chunk for it, so I sold it and bought an Escalade. Then I bought this 98 and decided to build a monster.

    Phenomenal experience with Modern Speed

Just wanted to share my recent experience with a company. Derek Johnson at Modern Speed is one of the best I have ever dealt with. I order some parts from him and he did a great job at keeping me up to date on everything. I ordered a Boss big bore block, Kellogg 3.800" stroker crankshaft, and...

Before you buy from MHS read this

Just a couple things I saw from the YB posting. Nick took WAY longer to get this guy his heads/cam package than he originally quoted. Nick sent the guy some junk heads. The heads were damaged when sent back. Now, there are a couple things Nick has done that I don't care for. 1. Nick tells...

    Maintenance Recipes

Lol. Sorry about that. Thought you were just asking about what to do. I use NGK plugs, motorcraft oil filter, royal purple fluids, motorcraft fuel filter, K&N filter.

    Maintenance Recipes

When I buy a vehicle, I do full maintainence on it. I change spark plugs, engine oil, oil filter, transmission fluid, differential fluid, fuel filter, clean/change air filter, clean MAF, and check the ball joints. If this is the first time for you to do some maintainence on your car, I would...

    Does anyone remember this D-bag?

Lol, yeah that would definitely suck for them to know where you live. I don't think you can store various tunes in a tuner. If your getting it dyno tuned, just get a flip chip and have the numerous tunes made. If you are running base tunes out of your hand held, just add/subtract fuel/timing...

    Does anyone remember this D-bag?

I kept it on the nitrous tune all the time. I sprayed mine a lot on the streets and knew I would forget the N/A tune was in it if I left it in there. And yes I had a hand held. Your car with a 125-150 shot and a 2800-3200 converter would be nasty. Easy mid 11 second car on slicks.

    Does anyone remember this D-bag?

I ran a MSD digital window switch, NX purge, Dyno Tune bottle heater, Autometer electric bottle pressure gauge, and a Speed of Sound cup holder switch panel. As for the tune, I was pulling 2 degree's out of the STOCK tune for a 150 shot, and ran the stock tune on a 100 shot, running 93 octane...
