    Mod ??

No, I believe the K&N doesn't require a tune. UDP's and an axleback definately don't.

    New Owner, Free Mods?

Here ya go... Like I was saying, it's not a massive drop, just enough to kill the 4x4 look and still have great ride quality.

    New Owner, Free Mods?

You've got the right idea as first mods. Don't forget a tune if you go with an aftermarket CAI, most of them require a tune unless specified otherwise. A couple of great places to look at would be www.bamachips.com and www.brenspeed.com. They are both great tuners which really wake the 4.6's up...

    pinging on hard shifts

I'm curious to see the results. The only reason I mentioned "unless it's really hot" is because that's when you have a better chance of pinging, at least in my experience, but yeah, mine runs like crap when it's really hot as well.

    pinging on hard shifts

Exactly. People just think the higher the octane, the better it runs. I remember one of my first cars (an old Grand Am) that I put some octane booster in it thinking it made it run a lot better!!! :rlaugh: There isn't any reason you should need a higher octane than 87, unless it's really...

    Charge Motion Valve Plate Delete

I've never broken in to my engine as far as taking the intake (not the CAI, the intake) off before and it was a piece of cake (took probably a total of 2 hours, but that was taking my time and BS'ing with friends). Basically, follow the instructions and you'll be fine. I found some write-up's...

    Charge Motion Valve Plate Delete

This is straight from Doug @ Bama on a different forum, which he also posted a dyno sheet... I've got them and haven't had a bit of problems out of them. It's like everything else, its not going to feel like a supercharger or anything, but every little bit adds up, especially if you're...

    getting wax off black car

What everyone else said. To help the hood cool down, if you know ahead of time you are wanting to wax it, pop the hood about an hour ahead of time and that will help cool it, rather than the engine sitting there keeping it warm. I've used NXT before as well and it should come off a lot easier...

    getting wax off black car

The heat could have definately had something to do with it. Some products will react different to hotter temperatures than others. Next time, put a fan on the hood if you have one and try to cool it off a little more. Did it not do it to the rest of the car? Was the rest of the car not as hot as...

    getting wax off black car

Hmmm, could be a couple of different things. As far as the streaks, when you look at the hood in the sun, does it kind of look like smear marks? I looked at mine one time after a wax job and it was really streaky, but mine was because I applied to much product. I could actually take a rag and...

    Stingers w/Pypes O/R H

I didn't think the Stingers sounded tinny at all with the stock pipe, it just wasn't quite loud enough. I can't answer the question on the violators, I've never had them, but the difference between a straight through muffler and straight pipe is the mufflers are typically cylinders with...

A new hood for my 06 GT

Yes, the hood is functional. The "street" version (which I have) has a hole on the drivers side that allows heat to escape. The "race" version has holes on both the driver and passenger side, I can't speak for the Cervini though. As far as body work, there was none involved. They said that it...

    Stingers w/Pypes O/R H

If you didn't like the trumpeting with the GTA's, you're in for a suprise with the Stingers! I had an O/R H with the Stingers and the trumpets were unbearable, to me at least. At wide open throttle, they were ok, but anything less was bad. I put the resonators on to kill the trumpets and tone...

A new hood for my 06 GT

I'm biased, but I really like the Steeda street cowl hood. Body shop said the fit and finish was better than any other fiberglass hood they've seen...

    swirl marks?

Actually, that's not entirely true. The buffer suggested here is a Porter Cable 7424 random orbital buffer, which will NOT harm your paint (unless you deliberatly try to by holding the pad in the same place for 20 minutes, even then it's extremely hard). They don't generate the heat that a...

    Mid Pipe???

I've got an O/R H pipe with the FRPP Stingers. The trumpets IMO were unbearable so I had some resonators installed. It totally killed the trumpets and brought the drone down to almost nothing. It doesn't sound like an older stang, at least like my 02 GT did with an O/R prochamber and flows...

    O/R XDown Pipe

Crap, sorry, I don't guess you can. Can you have your tuner adjust your tune file and email it to you?
