    cannister purge circuit

Canister purge solenoid is attached to the Charcoal canister. Which is on the passenger side engine compartment, down low in front, on the frame rail below the original air inlet box, looks like a black box. It traps excess fuel fumes from the intake, then sends them back to the tank. The...

Hey all, new member here with a few questions

:welcome: to the boards! I am just familiarizing myself with the world of turbos too, and I will say that for a 331 the 42 is probably going to be a little small. Most people seem to be using a 60 to 70, or 72, usually on the bigger side for a stroker. I wish you well with the DSS as a lot...

5.0 resto timing covers, whats the deal?

I had the same deal a month or so ago, trying to find one for my build. It is crazy the prices they want for them. No way was I paying over a hundred bucks for a piece of stamped aluminum. I ended up getting a brand new one with gaskets on ebay for $68. Seemed to be the best place to find...

    Cam swap w\ AC

If you don't want to open the system take it out of the bracket and carefully place it over on the passengers side where air box is. The flexible hoses will flex enough for that, just be careful. I have also seen it move to a portable bench right outside the passengers side fender.

    Code 67

Ok so the top sensor on the LH side of the Trans is the Backup switch. The NSS or Clutch switch (Depending on what book you are looking at) is on or behind the clutch petal arm under the dash. This is what Alldata states as far as testing. This switch functions magnetically. Do not use...

That is what it showed for it. Since I have my motor out tonight I will look since it should be easy to find. I can't find any info on testing the switch or a close up to confirm that, that is correct. Although the price seems to be right according to All Data. Maybe someone else can chime...

    Headliner Install

Most of the time the problem is that the fabric has a foam backing and the fabric comes away from the foam over time. I would just do it yourself Coachpete! As Williams stated it is fairly easy. You can find the headliner material at many fabric shops or go to an upholstery shop or suppler...

    Painting Headers???

Check out Eastwood: http://www.eastwoodco.com/jump.jsp?itemID=394&itemType=CATEGORY&iMainCat=390&iSubCat=394 Look at the Brush on silver, factory gray, or black. I have used the factory gray on my old S-10 drag truck headers and it worked well. I also just painted my engine with the...

    Radio pros, need your help...again.

Fett, you are correct on the grounding. That is why it wouldn't work well in your hand as the antenna grounds to the fender. Some radios also need an external ground but I have not seen any for a long time. Most new radio are now grounded through the harness. Edit: Most antennas are also...

    FOTM Changes

First off I vote No, but just for a few reasons. The voting period is way too long. Needs to be 1st, 5th, and winner no later than the 15th, or something close to that. It also needs to be run the same time every month. Which means there is ONE Administrator and someone to back him up...

cant get other bolts off headers

Since you have already tried the PB route, the next step is to apply heat. Use a propane, or like, hand held torch and slowly apply heat to it. Then try to loosen it. My guess on the bolts is that you have a valve cover leak, but just a guess.

audio question, speaker wire, whitch is negative..

Not sure if it will help in your situation, as I am still a little confused as to what you are asking and what you have done, but here is some an installer trick you might not know. If you have the speakers hooked up and you are at the radio or amp and are unsure as to which wire is positive...
