    I would love for this unknown setup to be streetable, beings as A i love free stuff that works and B I wanna go fast but am on a budget so anything helps. But i don't wanna risk safety over a cam shaft so i'll hope for the best.

    He did say something about lack of vaccuum, But he can't be sure. Will there be a part number on the cam somewhere? I don't know alot about cams but i do know i would like more info than just lift, as you stated duration is more important. What about lobe seperation?

    I was thinking of taking a dial indicator and a pushrod and turn the motor by hand to check the travel on intake and exhaust. Or should i just pull it out and take it in to a machine shop and see what it's really all about?

    I just got a motor given to me from a friend. It's a 302 out of an 86 stang, the motor was supposedly built for a fuelie setup but it was ran carbed. I customer of my buddy's shop said take it and he said I could have it. Neither of us know what cam is in it or what is actually done...

    I found the site about an hour ago, There are no STR8TS on it I am bored at work, so they just paid me 32 bucks an hour to listen to exhaust clips. LOL:canada: :rlaugh:

    i am thinking of doing this aswell. How far will the front end drop with the four cylinder springs? I have Eibach drag springs in the rear but I couldn't put my fronts in As one was broken(USED set Free) so I have stockers in the front and my arse end sits lower than the front.

    Fabing and welding won't be a problem,If i knock the dust out of my wallet There should be something in it that says I have my tickets for welding. LOL:D But i wouldn't have these problems if I didn't break stuff in the first place.

    Thanx I figured it was something like that. Currently I have to Fix My pass.side upper rear control arm. I launched one day on street tires and I ripped it out of the frame. Clean break I tore the ear that the C arm bolts inside. It doesn't look like it will be much fun to fix.

    you should be quite a bit faster than that, with the combo you are using i could see high 12's not being a fluke.

    well i don't plan on going anywhere near 800 horse. i've got a 7 month old son who needs plenty of diapers bought for him, besides if i get up that high in the hp range i will be forever replacing parts :canada:

    Tyler so what you are saying is that I should Just go with Frpps Cast crank instead of the forged? I want the possibility of maybe going to a blower down the road So I know I can't build it with too much compression, either. But it will be a 90% street car either way.
