    I dunno, it's faint and intermittent in the cab... I have a convertible (McLaren, it's not sealed as tightly as a regular Mustang), so it could be outside, but it's def. my car...

    Here I go again.. forgot about this one till I smelled it again today...smells like nail polish remover (those who live w/ females might know what I'm talking about...). Acetone. Any ideas why i might smell it? (Car related here, guys...)

    well, I picked up the Gasket set: timing cover, water pump(s), front seal, rubber seal for bottom of cover, 2 cork pieces, and mech fuel pump which I don't need... Got new oil and the permatex red spray. Gotta make sure I have enough RTV, and an oil filter, new anti-freeze, and I should be good...

    Well, the cooling system is definitely not doing its' nob properly anyway. It's leaking through the block/timing cover surface due to a broken bolt.     Probably stupid question, but, are you talking about noticeable obvious-while-you're-driving-it "damaged", or when I take the cover off, might I notice something that requires the sleeve and seal?? Thanks Rick

    Autozone has 2 choices: Felpro w/o Sleeve "N" seal. Or Felpro w/ Sleeve "N" seal. What's the difference? Also, do I have to buy a whole oil pan gasket to get that one piece for the front of the pan?? Thanks....

    well, nothing ever smokes, the rear main seal was replaced last year. It doesn't smell like antifreeze, and there's no excessive brake dust, and the pads were replaced last year, and the shoes usually make noise when they go bad. If anything, I'd have to guess a plastic smell. It does not do it...
