    I have a Pioneer head unit in my 2003 GT. I bought it from Crutchfeild, so it came with the necessary harness and plate to fit in the opening. It’s a little tight behind the radio so just make sure you tuck the wires in carefully so as not to pinch the wires.

    Thanks. I plan on replacing the rear upper and lower control arms. Only makes sense if I damaged the bushings. This time I’ll make sure the weight of the car is on the suspension before I tighten the bolts on the control arms.

    The car was on jack stands when I did the rear shocks. But I remember dropping the rear axle to fully extend the shocks. The jack stands were on the frame of the car not the axle. So I’m guessing the control arms are getting suspension wind up as you call it.

    02 Stock Alternator Amps?

    Get a good alternator from PA Performance. These are all new ( only the housing is rebuilt) I have a 175 amp unit from them with the heavy gauge wire kit ( recommended). I have not had any problems since. My factory alternator started going just after the warranty on the car expired.

    Changing your oil is a lot cheaper than rebuilding your engine. I use motor craft filters and have been using Mobil 1 5w20 since the car came out of factory warranty, a long time ago. No problems. I change my oil every 5000 miles or 3 months whatever comes first.

    Try dissconnecting the head unit from the power source and then plugging it back in. The unit may have to reset itself internally when its powered back up. Otherwise it sounds like you fried some of the circuits.
