Are you willing to yank the heads off? I bought and installed the AFR upgrades for my 185's. Quick trip to the machine shop will take care of the spring pockets...

Has anybody used a wet NOS system on a stock motor on a regular basis?

A friend of mine has been running a wet kit on his 95 GT for 2 years now. He consistantly runs 8 flats with only ported heads and cobra intake. Bottom end is bone stock 80 + K miles on it. He runs a 150 shot and sometimes a 180. He said this year he's gonna try the 200 on some passes.

    Machine costs

When I built my 331 I had the machine shop install cam bearings, Bore and hone to piston size and hot tank the block. Costed 136 bucks. They checks all the other clearances and said it looked fine.

I need a huge favor please!!

You are correct in the assumption that you can just go take the vehicle or at least in Virginia you can. I'm a Deputy in Virginia so I know a bit about law. However, when you go to court they could very well award her any car she wants. Wise idea would be to put all your vehicles in a parents...

    afr 185cc heads

I bought the AFR upgraded springs. I would contact Ed C cuz I had to have the spring pockets cut to get the AFR's to fit. However I only paid 50 bucks for the springs and retainers and then sold the factory AFR springs on ebay for 40 bucks. 10 bucks in upgraded springs...

My 331 Stroker build...your input please

I get 14 mpg but I have a AOD. Get a Comp Cams XE cam. I have the 274 cam and it's very streetable in my car. Find a used Typhoon intake or something. A 331 with stock heads is gonna suffocate. Spend the money on good heads and intake instead of the stroker engine. It'll be more power for now...

The Probe pistons I have in my car have dual valve reliefs. 1 for inline heads (AFR) and the other for twisted wedge heads. Not sure if you have the same kit I have though. Mine is dished pistons

    need traction

The traction actions will lower the car if you use the drop bracket that lowers the rear mounting point about 1 or 2 inches under the stock point under the shock. My drag radials are 275 / 50/ 15's Way too big, rubs everything.

    need traction

My sixty foot's run 1.7's and are very consistant. This is with a AOD launching on nitrous. I have mickey drag radials, lakewood traction action lowers and BBK uppers. Stock springs in the rear and lowering in the front. The tires don't spin the slightest amount. A friend of mine cuts 1.80 60...

My car is a 93. The fenders are only different at the peak of the wheel well. I used a 3 inch pneumatic cut off wheel. Took about 1 minute on each side. I will probly buy some fiberglassing stuff and patch the holes in the inner fender someday...

Saw my first dead body today.............

The sad thing is, I'm a cop and I see dead people more than I want. I had to break into a 70 some year old mans house one time. Middle of summer, A/C NOT ON for some reason and the house was like Fort Knox. As soon as I broke the seal on a window I went through WHEW Smelly. Dude had been dead...

labor to weld in griggs subframes

Find a friend with a welder. I've never welded anything b4 and I did my own welding. Just clean it up good with a wire brush. It's actually pretty easy. That's way too much to do this. You could buy a welder and the subframes and still come out about even.

    Plug gap

If you run a power adder you should run a smaller gap. Higher HP app's should run a smaller gap or if you have a aftermarket ignition system. Other wise the stock .050 ish gap should be more than adequate. I run a .034 personally but i'm runnin an aftermarket ignition, stroker motor and nitrous...

    Afr185s???

Do you have aftermarket Pistons??? if not you will probly have to get valve releifs cut into the stock pistons. I bought some 185's and my piston to valve clearance was crap. I ended up building a 331 to fix the prob. Some people say they will work on the stock pistons but I would check it with...

    331: Crane 2030 or XE274HR?

I have the 274 cam on my 331. You won't be dissapointed in that cam. Mine has good idle quality and it pulls like a raped ape. I almost wish I would have went with the 282 cam but I can't complain.

    500 rwhp on a stock sn95 302?

if you have a stock bottom end you may want to rethink AFR 185's. They will probly not fit unless you get the pistons cut on a bit. I bought 185's and they did'nt work so I built a 331, problem solved...
