    Yes i have huge traction issues at the track. On the highway i can pull away i just dont like to race on the highway plus his top end runs out on the highway cause of awd drive but he does put up a good fight.

    im in the same boat my buddy has a 99gsx with well over 300hp. Hes throwing down 12.9@104 with a smoked clutch and even though its awd it still goes pretty good on the highway. I can beat him but not by much at the track. 12.8@110 and on the highway its still close but i can barely beat him...

    Which way with the distributer?

    i timed mine by ear. I kept adding timing till it sounded right then took it out and would bring the rmps up to 6 slowly and see if it broke up anywhere and when it did i would then retarded it some.

    alright guys i decided to go with the proform for now until i have some money then im going to upgrade to the dcc fan kit. plus its not a daily driver its just to keep the car cool in the staging lanes at the track.

    i dont really need the thermostat so much because i am going to be wiring in a fan override switch anyways. but looking at the dcc stuff what is the difference between the 3018-m and the 3018-e? May go that route instead.

    i have long tubes and the starter gets heat soaked. I am looking at a starter for a manual. So summit only shows 164 and 153/168 tooth ones. So i take it i want the 153/168 tooth ones?
