    Fired it up!!

i have the same intake and tb as pictured. as long as it comes with enough pump & injector, and has a 2 or 3 bar map, then you're ready to go. the xfi is a good unit. lol! not yet, i just started tuning!

finally! i switched from blow-thru to efi, and got to fire it up saturday. it started right up. the big magnafuel pump makes a little bit of racket, but not too bad. i'm running straight ethanol this year. as expected, i had the 1st start gremlins. thankfully, i've addressed all of those...

Who's running a roll bar or cage?

you're not going the have a legal rollbar and still be able to use the rear seat. period. on unibody cars, you have to use 'kicker bars' that go from the main hoop to the subframes, so there goes any leg room. not to mention having a harness bar inches infront of your face.

i've heard about the 6cyl springs. isn't there an a/c and non-a/c option? which one should i get? since i have a windsor, turbo, and steel hood, i doubt i would have to cut a 6cyl spring. thanks. edit- yes i have the roller perches.

    68 mustang fastback motor options

definately go with the 351 option. if money is tight, stay with a carb. remember, all cars came with carbs once, and they drove all over the country. get a 750 vacuum and it will be fine. a tko 5spd would be a great choice.

OK its time to start on the 408w

i perfer a larger head for a 408. that's alot of cubes for just 185cc. 185's will certainly work, but i think a 215cc vic jr would be better suited. and the vic's use a 2.08 valve instead of a 2.02.

    manual brakes.. who has them?

i went from manual drums to manual disc. it works ok for me, but it does take some 'leg'. it hauls my car down from 140+ mph (but i can't take the 1st turn off. lol.)
