Carb or Ignition After checing the electrical & If the ignition checks out OK, then I would check the float level in the carb, it may be adjusted way too high.

    Need Power Steering Advice

Hmm, I'll look into the rag joint, but is there a test to tell whether the slop is in the box or the control valve?

    Need Power Steering Advice

I am always amazed when I read that some people can manage to make the OE power steering work. I've been messing around with mine for 30 years and never seem to be able to get rid of the 1-2 inches of play at dead center. I rebuilt everything including the box & even found an OEM power steering...

Smell like gas after driving car (real bad)

There is a vacuum under the rear of the car that develops when you are driving. If you have any leaks in your trunk, around the gas tank, or anywhere else it will pull the exhaust right in through your trunk.

    Overdrive for C4

You could replace the 3:00 rear with a lower (numberically) ring & pinion and go to a larger diameter wheel and tire for less than the cost of an AOD or Gear Vendors setup. You would also need to change your speedo gear otherwise the speedometer will read faster than you are actually going.

Smell like gas after driving car (real bad)

If it's a raw gas smell as well, you could check to see if the fuel sending unit is leaking. The aftermarket ones can be real garbage.

    New Mustang Steering Product

Colapsing Column For my 1969, what is involved in colapsing the steering column 2 inches? Are there any irreversable changes that need to be made to the column? Will it fit (and the pump)fit a big block as well?

Car dies after 25-30 minutes of use. Help needed.

I once had a starter that would short out after the engine got hot & kill the engine & it would start again after a few minutes, I guess after it cooled off. My father suggested that it could be the starter shorting & I thought that he was nuts, but that ended up being the problem.

    Tilt steering looseness

If it's power steering, it could be any number of reasons. If it's manual, I'd look at the idler arm.

    New to manual drum brakes

I'll second that! If you go though a puddle - immediately apply light pressure on the brake pedal for a few seconds to dry them off, otherwise you will be in for a big surprise when you really need them.

Tire Age: Safety Hazard - Excessive Paranoia - or Sales Promo

It is a problem I can't agree with that. The tires have a certain life if they are used or not. It is a real good idea to check the date codes on any new tire that you buy & if you ever plan to go 80 (we all do!) then you don't want a tire that is more than 6 years old. It is better to own...

Have no idea why car won't run right

He did have punctuation and in his fourth sentence, he talked about running a compression check.. Adding more spaces between paragraphs isn’t a bad idea, but I’d give the guy a break.
