    Wrong. I had full mods, a stage 2 cam, 24 pound injectors, 98 Cobra pistons, and an aggressive tune and the stock pump never missed a beat. The only time I had to upgrade it was when I went forced induction.

    A guy brought up an intersting question last night on a Mustang page. Why don't more people use the 96 and up 5.0 engines with the ECU in the 94-95 Mustangs? Or even in the 96 and up Mustangs as well? They are OBD2 and there are tons of stuff out there to upgrade them. Any thoughts on this?

    You can swap the timing covers out. Just unbolt all the accessories, remove the old one, clean the surfaces nice and good, and put the 3 bolt tensioner on. And you might as well put new timing cover gaskets on too. And, really, since you're halfway there, you might as well take the valve covers...

    This is all what people say but I disagree. When you race, most of the time is spent at WOT. Driving around town, you mainly use partial throttle. So whille you might lose some low end torque down low, it'll more than make up for it up top especially at the track or when you're doing roll-ons...

    We always plan ahead with mods. If something breaks, you might as well upgrade with an aftermarket piece. Get a Professional Products Typhoon intake manifold.     I kinda figured that but I didn't think I would lose that much boost with ported heads tho. I thought it would take headers and cams before I lost that much.
