    Rack an Pinion Steering

Nice Info. I was looking at the Unisteer Power setup as an economic alternative to all the systems available. It looks like they still have to iron out a few bugs in their design, so I may reconsider my purchase. After reading the info I got from Rick his system seems like a viable...

    65 E-brake tip

My 65 vert is anything but stockI tried to put the spring in the correct side but since the 2.5" "X" SS crossover is so wide and is located right in the border of the re-inforcement plate the spring rubs against it causing rattling noise when the e-brake is off and the heating of the spring. The...

    65 E-brake tip

Actually he is right about the Ford Manual. Below is a copy of the 1976 last revision Ford did and shows the wrong setup. I learned this when I was doing my vert and notice the mechanical disadvantage in Ford diagram (see my setup below). In my vert I swap the spring to the other side cuz I...

NEED INFO ON BELTS ROUTING ON 66 STANG

yEP! Those are the one I have with the exception of the optional pulley. I believe I got it nail down now. The 66 GT I have is a "K" Code 289 and looks like when I got the car 15 years ago the Previous Owner had installed the P.S and A/C on it and I think (Not sure) that all "K" codes didn't...

NEED INFO ON BELTS ROUTING ON 66 STANG

Thanks 2+2 for you response. That's the way I figured it out. But I have 2 different "3 sheave crank pulleys" the aftermarket chrome from NPD and a factory one and none of them align with the AC clutch. The AC clutch I got is a brand new replacement one from 4 Seasons PN 48812 this is a direct...

Spoilered trunk lid and end caps for 65 fb

On my personal; experience i have installed 2 diferent ones and looked at items from 4 places. The fiberglass deck lids and end caps are about the same and all required fitting and finishing to achieve a presentable image. The most work it's at the end caps. They don't have a perfect gap at the...

IGNITION QUESTION FOR THE EXPERTS IN THIS AREA

Had it removed and since Radtec are my customers for over 15 years they checked it and said it was as good as a brand new radiator. After all it only has about 100 miles on the car. There was no sign of rust, all fins are straight and no blocked rows were there. While there they installed a...

IGNITION QUESTION FOR THE EXPERTS IN THIS AREA

Yes I know that, but even if I use a 160F thermostat in anyone of my stangs engine temp rises above 200F in all of them; remove it and presto, always below 200F. Please don't misunderstand me, back in 1968 to pave my way in to college I worked for a Ford Dealer here doing wheel alignment in...

IGNITION QUESTION FOR THE EXPERTS IN THIS AREA

No thermostats needed here on these old cars. With normal daily temperatures in the high 90's and over 100F in summer even a 160 f thermostat overheats a bit. New cars are another story cuz their computers are capable of handling all changes easy. All my stangs have always run with no...
