    65 Mustang Back Tires Rubbing

A shock only controls how fast the springs come back or "rebound", it sounds like you may need stiffer springs. And NO, you should not use air shocks.

    65 Mustang Back Tires Rubbing

So do you think a 17 x7 3/4 BS be a safer bet to avoid this? I am shopping for my 65 fb right now and I was under the impression from the chart that 17x8 would fit with. 3/4 BS without rubbing... Basically I keep finding conflicting info with very few actual photos.

    Crooked Stripes

This thread makes me glad that I took the time to learn to paint on this car, sure I made a mess in my garage but now I can safely say that II will never need to let a car of mine sit in a shop....ever.

66 coupe -fast back, yea i am going to do it again

The bottom of that car looks like it was a great donor, but I dont know if I would have that on a spinner without torque boxes on the front, theres nothing holding up the front?

    17" Mb Wheels On A 65 Stang?

It can be alignment issues that have one side sitting different than the other. I am in the same boat as I have a 65 FB with 1" lower all round with the arning drop and need to get wheels n tires soon. But, I will not roll the rear lips, I just spent all winter getting everything squared away...

    Crooked Stripes

I can't see any issues with the roof to hood, or the roof to rear filler?

    Crooked Stripes

I would think that repairing the questionable areas would be a proper repair. If the roof and other main body locations look correct I would not mess with them, you may end up with other issues down the road with adhesion or die back etc...It kinda looks like they painted the car while apart...

Roller Rockers For The Street, Are They Really Worth It?

I did it once in an early Bronco, and while that was a lower RPM application I still could never tell they were installed...I doubt if I do it again...

    289 Re-build W/ Gt40 Heads - Need Suggestions

I would run higher compression pistons for certain. Also, I have not seen anyone mention cam overlap. that can also change how your engine runs with lower compression. If you are not going to use taller pistons to get your compression back you definitely need to consider the overlap.

If you have some install pics please make a thread, I would love to see it. If I build another car I am going to go that route!

66 coupe -fast back, yea i am going to do it again

    Unisteer rack & pinion difference

I can tell you with mine I had a thump, it was the u-joints touching slightly, I now remember I did grind a bit on the edges of the lower pivot because it is a bit too steep an angle if you ask me. If you put some black magic market on the ends of the lower pivots top half and then rotate it...

    Unisteer rack & pinion difference

It can be dealt with by adjusting the colum. I make sure the pivots are all loose and make sure the outer colum is loose and start tightening with the bottom boot on the splines. Then have someone pull on the steering wheel to keep clearance between the chrome shaft and the lower portion of...
