4 cylinder spring and rearend question

750 Horse on a good built 8.8 may be do-able, but for that type of power I would look towards a 9"

    H-pipe brand, does it matter?

Silver high temp paint cures that. The new silver high temp stuff actually looks pretty nice too...

will stock explorer gt-40 heads clear 89 flat top stock forged pistons

I believe what he might have been saying was that one set of pistons had some dish along with valve reliefs while the other just had flat tops with reliefs.

    2.95 Z-spec T-5 with 350HP??

I would save your money and run whatever's cheapest. There's hundreds of guys running 4-banger transmissions behind 350+ HP motors with considerable flogging and little to no issue. Just down power shift it and run slicks all the time or you're going to be picking up parts...The 4-banger trans...

After some research, the 2.26 is correct.

    Holy rear gear batman!!!

Tag. The car is all original, so I am not doubting the tag. However I think I am going to peruse the Capri literature and see if that was an option...

    Adjusting pinion snubber?

I have an adj. snubber and stock springs and I only have about 1" of gap when sitting still. I suspect you've got to be about touching... The basic idea is to have as much gap as possible while reducing/eliminating wheel hop...

    Holy rear gear batman!!!

I crawled under the good ol' Capri the other day to find out that the 255 powered Capri is rolling on a 2.26 rear gear! I thought the '83 was bad with the 2.73, but 2.26?!?!? I'm not sure if I'll ever drive on that rear, but it should turn that 4-banger trans into a 200mph flying machine if I...

    Stupid Teacher

I don't recall any english class ever that allowed symbols in place of words...I think you're lucky with the C. Spell check works wonders. have somebody else read it too, like a parent or something, who may catch the grammatical errors also...

hydraulic clutch conversion for 86 5.0

You could probably rig something up using a Turbocoupe setup. It will be backwards though as the 2.3's all push away from the motor and the 5.0 pulls towards. Good luck.

    351W Question

Does not need to be roller to work. Just handy to be roller...With a 351W you either have to use the $$$ link-bar lifters or a special cam which is $$$. Good luck with your swap.

    S197 Seats in a foxbody

I'm pretty sure Ford has maintained the same seat mounting pattern for quite some time. Have the seller measure the bolt pattern on the seats themselves. Brackets probably won't work, but you can switch yours on.

    Intake Adapter Kit

OOOH....I hadn't seen those. Much cheaper solution for the EFI side...then again, for the extra $80 I can get an aftermarket lower to match my aftermarket upper...hmmm.... This is what I was looking at.... http://www.pricemotorsport.com/html/body_ap-01___ap-04___intake_adapter.html

    Intake Adapter Kit

Anybody ever buy/use the intake adapter kits that are available? Basically a bolt on spacer to couple a different intake (say 302) to a different motor (say 351). My reason for asking is that I've got GT-40 and performer RPM efi intakes and various carb intakes for the 302, but I'm going...

    Leaking C6 Tranny?

IIRC, you can pop the outer arm off and there should be an o-ring in there. Otherwise you'll need to pop the pan and valve body and maybe more to get the arm out from the inside. I would start with the outer arm though.

which would be best twin t3 or single t4

I think running the T4 you have is a reasonable option if you don't have the extra cash for a different turbo. I think you'll find that the turbo you have will run out of steam in the top end. However, with some porting on the housings you may be able to make up some of that loss. Most of the...

    DIY Shortend Axles ??? Anyone

I would buy aftermarket axles. The time it would take to cut axles and the type of machine you have to use to cut them would make it more practical to buy some higher strength axles.

    Fox Speaker Upgrade

Should be 3-1/2 tweeters, 6-1/2 door, and 5x7/6x8 rear speakers. I put new door and rear speakers in and didn't bother with the tweeters. I'm pleased. The factory tweeters have crossovers on them so they don't get blown out with low frequency. I hate to say it, but if you're going to go on...
