    are you talking about the stepped washers needed to adapt the 16mm hole to the 14mm bolt ? Or did you not get the steel sleeve and polyurethane bushings ? I have J&M lca's, mine have polyurethane bushings, a round bushing and a sleeve that goes through each mounting point.

    you are correct, you want to install the mufflers with the perforated opening towards the engine. As you say without at least some of the exhaust tones entering into where the diffuser material is, there's no benfit. Most glass packs/straight through mufflers have a directional arrow.

The reason you'll need a tuner with some CAI's is the air is actually moving slower through a larger diameter tube which makes the ECU think less air is going into the engine, cutting fuel and causing a lean condition...
