    i would recommend a 180 degree thermostat, and a electric fan. Do you have underdrive pulleys, that definetly do it. NO running an open cooling system (no thermostat) would not help. it may actually make the problem worse, because the coolent has to stay in the engine long enough to absorb...

    thank you, forgot to plug the spout connector back in :bang: the engine wasn't really sitting it was being rebuilt and it has a new main seal. keep the ideas coming! matthew

    i needed them too, went to several parts stores and didn't find them so i called a dealership and they where classified as a "ford obsolete part" so the only other choice is really to buy used or get an engine limiter from jegs of summit. matthew

    could it have been a bad spark plug to start with? how do your others look? i have had bad spark plugs right out of the box from autolite but never from bosh so maybe quality control missed one or an employee dropped it as the were unloading it, which has happened to me :bang: matthew
