    I found Ford's website where you can purchase the ESP online here: https://www.genuineservice.com/esp/purchase.do It was telling me 5yr/100k mile plan would be around $1,000. If I talk to dealers can I purchase the same plan from them for cheaper?

    Are the 08s faster than the 05s?

    I thought all 05+ Mustangs has 300/320? Also the '05s (and I believe '06s) came standard with 3.55 rears whereas '07 on came with 3.31s standard so that may offset any acceleration difference from a stock '05 and a stock '08 if there is indeed more torque in the '08s.

    winter tires?

    I bought a set of Hankook Icebears to put on my stock 17" wheels before last winter and they worked really well. No need for silly AWD vehicles if you put a good set of snow tires on a RWD car.

    Do you buy the ESP from the service department or the sales department? I'm thinking of getting it for my car since I've brought it in for so many little issues that weren't with the power train. Anyone know if it extends the power train warranty to 5 years/100,000 miles as well?

    Why not just save your money and buy some real big brakes? I personally find them cheesy and know that anyone that has them on is more about style than real substance. Just not my style.

    That'd be pretty awesome if it turns out to be true. Ford will need something significantly more powerful than the current 4.6 to compete with the Camaro. My secondary car may end up having to be another Mustang GT :)

    Yup, no truck release inside the car. Pretty silly. It would make sense on a convertible so someone doesn't steal your **** if you leave the top down but on the coupe it's just dumb.

    Holy crap! You're one lucky guy to not only have not gotten anyone hurt but also to have your car in such good shape. After a couple close encounters when I first got my Mustang I decided to leave the "fun" driving to when I'm alone in the car and there's absolutely no one else around.

    Haha, we're not SOL, that's just the way it is for all disc brakes unless they're made out of another material like carbon ceramic. It doesn't hurt your brakes at all.

    Ford Racing Exhaust

    I had those axle-backs for a few months before the hangars rusted off them :( They sound a little different than the stock, slightly more "bass-y". They're also barely louder than stock unless coupled with an aftermarket x-pipe or h-pipe.
