    ya talking it over with wife , i found a new 2011 priemum gt, has 15 miles, silver like my 86gt and even the auto trans. i,ve been looking for most around here are sticks. 29,500. its sure a lott slower then the 07gt, but mabye later i can mod it up some too.

    a mechanic mentioned if i did this mod. it will really improve the performance of my 86gt, he claims my cats are probblly pluged up after 160,000 miles, i did my last emissions test , so no more cats . what do you guys think?

    getting 4.10's.... how do I counter the top end loss?

    i drove a 07gt with the 4.10s , it had the auto trans, with a high stall converter, and vortec, it was amazing, very little tire spin, it just flew.

    most nice 07s are going for that price up here, all stock, the owner has been a member on here for a long time, all the mods were installed by the ford dealer he works at, just worried about all the quarter miles its got on it, i will buy it if you guys think the motor will last another 30,000...

    thinking about buying a very nice 07gt, its a 1 owner car, 28,750 miles, the owners 1st mod was 4.10s and a high stall torque converter, right after he bought it, its got some exhaust mods too, its a 2007 gt, in 09 he had a vortec supercharger installed, its seen the track quiet a few times...

    same way up here, there are no nice 85,86gts up here either, most are all hacked up, mine is still pretty nice, no dents paint still shines, interior still like new, been wifes car all the time, now its mine. and time to make it a little bit faster.

    i hear you lars, i,ve been reading up on all the new stuff they heve out now, trickflow and others, i dont really like the looks of their stuff, like the stock upper better for looks but the trickflow just seems to performe better then gt40? it would be perfect to go gt40 for more stock looks...

    so around 9 to 10 grand might do it? all installed? up here in seattle there is like 2 mustang shops , both are top rated, guys drive 2 to 500 miles to have them do work, they havent emailed me back yet for a rough estemate , tomm. i hope, before i make a big mistake and go buy this 2012 lava...

    i think iam going with a crate 347 motor, and trickflow heads , intake, and cam. 4.10s out back, rebuild the aod trans up to take the extra hp. try it and see if iam happy, next year do the suspension.
