    I have seen this problem, and it turned out to be the O-ring on the dist. You might want to check that, it would be an easy fix compared to replacing the timing cover gasket.

    Most people are stuck dying/painting white or parchment windlace the emberglo color, unless you have some original emberglo windlace. I have used the spray emberglo dyes on a couple cars, it turned out well, and has lasted many years.

    The pressure plate will release when the clutch pedal is pressed down, but the clutch disc sticks to the flywheel, and this turns the transmission input shaft.
