    a few ?'s on the 97 Cobra's

With 60k miles on the clock, the tranny could be worn out, just depends on how it has been driven. Mine was rebuilt with only around 30k miles on it. You just never know. Oh and I don't consider my 97 Cobra slow with minor mods. It's not the fastest, but would beat the pud out of my old...

    Track results, I need help

I think low 13's on a 94-95 is impressive. I would hope to run that good in my 97 with minor mods. Nice run!

Sad thing is now if you ever want to restore your Cobra, you no longer have the original seats to replace them. :-(

Where to get a good CAI???

MAC, BBK, Densecharger, Steeda, etc. How can you not know where to get a CAI for your 5.0? I had a fender mount chrome MAC on my 86GT, and I could feel about a 10hp increase, especially in cold temps. Buy a quality CAI from a reputable manufacturer. Don't rig some cheap piece of crapt.

Stay away from the Comp T/A's. If you go with BFG's get the G-Force.

Question about insurance moving up to an 03 from 98.

The 03/04 Cobras will drop more drastically in value when the 07 comes out. If you don't drive the miles up on your 98, you can expect it to hold about 90% of its value between now and then. The 96-98's have pretty much hit their low now.

    Cobra Bashers

The first time I get beat by a ricer on the street (not the track) I will be saving up for a Ken Bell supercharger.

    97 cobra ET

Ford reported 13.9 at 101 from the factory with stock everything. I would hope with a catback, CAI, and wider tires, I could run a low to mid 13 with a good launch in optimal conditions.

    97 98 Cobra videos?

There's a guy over on www.svtperformance.com in the SN95 Cobra forum who has a yellow 98 with a brand new polished KB screw supercharger on top. It's the best looking blower I've ever seen.

I Need some Mach 460 advice

All you really need is the aftermarket adapter made for doing this. I think LRS sells this for around $45. You can check out their website at www.50resto.com. Other than that you will need new amps and speakers and rerun new speaker wire.

Different tires sizes front vs. rear...why?

245/45/17 in the front and 285/40/17 in the rear. Main reason I left the 245's up front was so I could save $ and use my existing tires on new 17x8 rims. Went with 17x10.5's in the rear and the 285 Eagle F1's filled 'em up perfect. I could not be happier and they look tough! Once the front...

Buying new rear tires want your input!

I just put Eagle F1's 285/40ZR17's on my 10.5" rims and the fit perfect and look tough.

Need Some Help From The Cobra Crowd!!!

If you aren't going to s/c it you don't need all of the expensive forged internals of an 03/04. The 96-98 original engine lower halves were made in Italy by Teskid and are proclaimed to be the best SVT ever used. They say they are able to handle over 800hp. However the heads on them are a...

    Can ANYONE please help me..

Give this a try....take your intake tube off of the throttle body and spray some appropriate cleaner in there. Then get a clean rag and wipe up in there the best you can reach. Then do it all over again and immediately start up the car and go run it wide open for a couple of miles. That...
