    yah, they did on the 99-04 GT's. My Cobra's engine bay is clearcoated, however. 05+ are also.

    No offense to VW owners but, losing to a Beetle would be humiliating. Hell, it'd be embarrassing losing to a Beetle IN a Beetle just because I was actually driving one to begin with.

    yep. I drove my KB Cobra 1600 miles round trip to Indianapolis and back to GA averaging 23-24mpg while on the highway.

    I love my KB's. It's hard to beat positive displacement on a street car. If I were to build a race car, my GT may have have a BIG centri or pair of snails sitting under the hood instead. anyways, if you decide to go KB, first try to find a used 2.2L if you can. Every once in a while you can...

    +1 also, all the power in the world isn't going to achieve max speed potential. Weight, gearing, aerodynamics plays a huge factor and is one reason why some exotics would top my car despite making a lot less power.

    thanks. this car never has been a drag racer so rear end upgrades hasn't been a top priority. Even with all the mods done, a few more things need to be done...hp-wise, and suspension and I'll get to it eventually. I know this car will need a cage if I want to race it at the track more than once...
