    I checked mustangs plus www.mustangsplus.com they offer 71-73 quarter panels. They also offer patch kits. They only way to stop the rusting, is to replace the metal, or encapsulate it from oxygen.

    I would be concerned about tearing up the distributor gear and cam gear. Manually moving the crank would be safer. Although it should slip in fairly easy.

    Careful driving out there!

    I live around Eugene. Friday and Saturday was a mess. It finally rained and the temps were hovering around freezing. The asphault was wet, but anything dense like concrete was a sheet of ice. Non stop car wrecks and falls. It has since warmed up and is the normal wet and cool.

    Roads are not too bad yet. The bridges and concrete are slick as hell though. I am working tonight, and since 4 pm, its been non stop ambulances and walk ins from motor vehicle accidents and ground level falls.
