    He had the 69 that had some poor street manners. With insanely high insurance rates. Then he bought the truck and was trying make into LPG. Then he went to butcher school, and the last I remember. His parents were not happy with the driveway becoming a parking lot for rusty canadian projects.

    Still thinking that he bought a pile of rust and paid someone to transform it back into a fastback. Even then, it had to have been a very expensive shop.

    I see josh on my MS messenger all the time. I havent talked to him in years though. IIRC, Last I heard, he sold the stang, and bought a fairly rough 80s truck. He was from western Canada, so its a possibility. :D

    where did all the money go? Not a whole lot of custom work done on the car. It looks like a backyard build with a very good paint job. I am wondering if it was a basket case and the owner had a shop repair it.

    yeah, I kind of took a pass on that... The plus side, I have everything needed to put it back together. The downside is that I do not know which coffee can its in.

    Do not take your car apart, then wait 6 years before putting it back together. Especially if you are going to move several times during that six years. I have buckets and buckets of bolts and fasteners. I also have no clue what I had not finished before moving it last time. :doh:

    Gas in Oil

    Fuel pumps are fairly cheap, and not to hard to replace. If you pull it to check, then you might as well replace it. I had the same issue with a pickup with a 351w. Heavy fuel smell while driving, bad gas smell in the oil. It was the fuel pump diaphram leaking into the oil.

    non HO, speed density. Intake faces the drivers side. I found this on crownvic.net. I am wondering what needs modified on the shorty headers.

    They will bolt up, but not clear the frame or suspension. According to the crown vic forum that I found... I have some long tubes for a 302. I will have to see if they clear or not. Summit sells flanges for building your own header. But I am not that motivated.
