2V vs. 4V Cleveland Build Question

If you have never taken the motor apart before you are almost 100% that they will be the 2v OC...the quench 2v all come for aussie land.

    AUTO OVERDRIVE

These guys sell many of the bits and pieces needed to do the installation: AOD, AOD Performance Transmissions from PATC, AOD Transmission, AOD Mustang, AOD I would not recommend buying the trans from them buy the other parts they don't make ;) When I did my install I bought a rod and I...

Shouldn't this be in talk and not tech?

I think this would be cool.

When we run out of oil....how will we make tires?

2V vs. 4V Cleveland Build Question

Didn't forget it all. Here I'll quote myself ;) This is an old argument that has many people on each side of the battle lines (I assume this is going to end in the old c vs w debate). I didn't mention a thing about engine series in my statement. Simply that Ford dropped high performance...

    carb for a 408 stroker

FWIW My 410 made the best 'dyno' power with a shop prepped 650 which was a mish mass of 750 and 650 parts melded into an all out drag racing carb. My 410 made the best usable to me power (since the shop carb wasn't for sale ;) ) with a 750 biggs which was only slightly behind the shop carb...

2V vs. 4V Cleveland Build Question

And here I thought it was because Ford dropped all high performance motors from the lineup in the USA in favor of fuel efficiency in cars and low RPM work horse motors in trucks that would run on 87 octane without pinging. :P

2V vs. 4V Cleveland Build Question

I get 14-15mpg out of my 410c with 4v open chamber heads It also runs 11.5 at 108.8 It also has an AOD in it though.... It does seem a little silly to be talking about building something with 300 RWHP and in the next breath mention concern about fuel economy between a standard stroke motor...

Help me decide which wheels would look best on my car.

I said this: Because in my experience the Nitto tires routinely broke lose for me in moderate acceleration when doing a 3 to 2 downshift. They also did not perform well in wet conditions since taking a sweeping right hand curve on 95 ended up with me 2 lanes over and sticking out sideways of...

Help me decide which wheels would look best on my car.

Not many choices in a 225 40 17....more options in a 225 45 17 and it is closer to the stock size. You also prob would not need -1 camber to run this tire.

Help me decide which wheels would look best on my car.

I sent this in response to your PM: If you want to run the 275 35 in the rear I would run a 245 40 in the front to keep the sidewall profiles visually much closer in size. Front larger sidewalls can look a little hockey sometimes. For the 17x8 in the front a 4.75 backspace wheel would be what...

    Stumped on my dyno numbers

So what tuning was done while it was on the dyno to give you the gain of 10 or was that just variance between pulls. (it doesn't actually sounds like it was dyno tuned, just dyno tested...and there is a difference so please correct me if this is not accurate) As for greatest improvement ditch...

    Signs Of A Msd Ignition

I would replace the cap and rotor. My MSD setup has left me stranded on the side of the road twice in 2.5 years and both times I had to put a new cap and rotor in to get it going again (the first time obviously I put a new pickup in, replaced the coil, checked the box, rewired the ignition, all...

    Stumped on my dyno numbers

Welcome to reality. There are so many 450-500 HP at the back tire 13 second monsters running around I've lost count. ;) Dynos are a tuning tool. Most people when they go there always have their expectations realigned. The good news is that a good dyno tune session usually find HP that was...

    Axles only

If this is an 8 or a 9 inch rear, yes you can put the axles in. You obviously won't be able to put the pumpkin in again until you take it all apart, but the axles bolt up at the flange. They don't use c clips inside the housing to hold them in.
