will stock radiator cap cause overheat/boilover issues?

My two thoughts are either your running lean under load or your timing is off.

Need help 65 mustang 17’’ wheel fitment

As far as the Granada's go I really couldn't tell you for sure as I did it so long ago, but as Z06killlin stated I am pretty sure they did not. The 2005 GT rotors I only test fit in the wheels with a hub, but that being said the rotor is probably slightly thicker then drums were- but that...

swap 289 for 302 in 66 mustang automatic

If you are having that hard of a time, you might be better off to just pull the trans, bolt it up to the engine outside the car, then drop them in as one unit.

    Yet Another Exhaust Thread

I switched from flowmaster to a Magnaflow kit after I put in my 347, it sounds good (but not better then the flowmasters) but I liked the fact that it had an X-pipe and was stainless steel. One day after I do about a dozen other projects I will switch to Corsa Black mufflers.

    Tire Recommendations

I would highly recommend you look at Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec (yeah I know its a bit wordy), I did a lot of research and based on several tests from places like the Tirerack they always placed in the top 3. When I compared test results, reviews and price/value, it was the clear winner...

Need help 65 mustang 17’’ wheel fitment

I currently have Granada brakes on the front, and no I have not had any caliper clearance issues, there is in fact plenty of room. I have tested fit the 2005 mustang calipers and rotors and there should be plenty of clearance as well. The only ones you may have a problem with are the cobra set up.

    Electrical issue- help please

That makes me think I could have a bad ignition switch-or at the very least the problem is coming from under the dash. I have been printing out the various wiring diagrams that I can find online so I can go under the dash to try to decipher what is what.

Need help 65 mustang 17’’ wheel fitment

Here are a few pics, regular wheel weights did hit my upper control arm as well, I just switched to the sticky weights and it solved that problem.

    Electrical issue- help please

So I reinspected the engine bay wiring again, and found nothing that appeared to be damaged. I pulled the instrument cluster....and lets just say its a real mess back there, there are at least 2 wires that 'appear' as though they should have been connected to something at some point in time, but...

    Electrical issue- help please

well I looked over the wire in the engine bay, nothing seemed strange, I haven't looked under the dash to closely yet. Although I do have another symptom that I found on my drive home tonight, my dash lights are not working either.

    Electrical issue- help please

My oil pressure light has decided it wants to stay on- with the key in or out, I thought it might have been a bad sensor so I replaced that with no improvement. If I disconnect the wire at the sensor the light goes off. It seems especially strange to me that the light will stay on when I pull...

    Sell it or keep it?

I have sold some things like the old seats, and kept some things like the trans and block just to have the replacement part readily available in case, I break something and want to get it on the road quick and cheap.

    fuel efficient 289?

My suggestion to you is to first have an overdrive transmission, have an electronic ignition like a petronix or better, next make sure your carb has a good tune-up, and that includes make sure the carb is tuned to the proper idle settings, Air/fuel fixture, etc, along with fresh plugs and wires...

    Master Cylinder swap

So I am switching to four wheel discs (manual) I was thinking about using the 15/16" Cobra Master cylinder and this: This should work just fine correct? (I understand that I would be missing the safety factor Ultrastang mentioned)

Rear end length problem... Need help

Well I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong but that axle should allow late model wheels to bolt up directly without the use of spacers. I believe the usual spacer for late model style wheels is about 1.25" so that puts in pretty good shape if you are looking to go that way. If not I...

    Exhaust System

Best advice for you is to go to cruise nights and listen to cars and ask them what their set up is, second to that is Youtube. Asking the flowmaster vs. magnaflow question is like asking holly or edelbrock, people either love or hate them. I have had both, originally I ran flowmasters which...

    Mufflers

Flows's are louder in the interior yes, but drone is a certain tone that gets emitted, its not 'noise' or 'volume', and it is caused by more then just the mufflers (although they certainly play a big role), everything from the engine, came, headers, and pipes are going to effect that. I don't...
