    thanks, but i figured I might as well as play it safe and just buy new gaskets. Not worth tearing it all down again for $30. Why are there so many different part numbers for the valve cover gaskets? I have these part numbers and they all come up with the same application gaskets...

    Couple of questions: 1) is it ok to re use the original valve cover gaskets if they look fine? (7 year old gaskets but rubber shouldnt break down, right?) 2) what is the purpose of using the RTV in the two spots on the head? Do i have to do that again?

    i use royal purple 75/140 and no friction modifier since royal purple already has it. I know a lot of people use 75/90, but the shop i go to said they have seen some pre mature wear on rears using 75/90. Ive been using 75/140 and have no probs.

    sounds like the tuner tuned it perfect for WOT only. A lot of tuners do that and call it good and dont spend enuf time on the daily drivability of the tune. At least thats what i have dealt with in my experience. And ive also been to very "reputable tuners". Thats why i'm now driving 500 miles...

    How do you release fuel pressure from the fuel rails? Ive got to pull my fuel rails off, but the shrader valve has my autometer fuel pressure gauge in place of it. Not sure how to do it now...

    EGR nut on headers

    I'll give it a shot tonite. I was looking at it last nite, and i might be able to get at it with the front wheel off and if i also pull out the fender liner. I really hope mine isnt stuck on too tight, my headers have only been on for about 3K miles.

    Im going to delete my EGR crap while i'm putting on a bullitt intake. I'm trying to get to the EGR nut on my bassani headers, whats the easiest way to get at it, from topside or underneath? (BTW Doing it at home with jack/jackstands only, no lift :()

    hanging idle after disconnecting battery

    it usually takes my car longer than 10 miles to re learn the idle. It seems like it takes a few days for my car. And then it also has to re learn the idle seperate for when i turn the A/C on. I wouldnt worry about it. Give it a few days.

    You should be fine. For cars with the OBD port, they just plug into it and make sure there are no codes and thats about it.
