    Sounds like the same set up im going to install on mine but im going to use a TFS street burner intake, Have your heads been milled? Im concerend about about the bigger chambers droping the comp. ratio. (sorry not trying to jack your thread)

    Going to buy a set of roller rockers for my gt40's, the pedestal mounts are more expensive? but for what i would spend to convert to stud mount the price would be about the same. what would be better?? or does any one know of a reasonably priced set of ped. mounts?

    Geting ready to start a h/c/i swap on the gt, But cant make up my mind about removing the a/c, it works but I never use it. I know I will save some weight and pick up a little power, but like i said it works! any sugestions??

    Ok sorry I guess im confused? If his car is a grand prix with a 5.3 and not g8 with a 6.0 than race him he may take ya, but he wont smoke ya! my buddy has one, and my 01 camaro ss used to dust him bad, i would run 13.0's at the strip. havent lined up with him with the 5.0....yet

    sorry dude, but i agree with the others, i hate to say it but i have owned several ls1 camaros and now have a 5.0, his pontiac will have a 6.0 ls2 if its a gxp, ( not your average 4 door famly car) there is a reason all the ls motors are nick named '' Gods Motor '' good luck and be safe!!!

    thanks to everyone for all the help. I called trick flow today and talked to tech svc. They said not to use 1.7's that I need to use the 1.6's and that even though my gt40's have double springs (they are off a marine moter ) that i still need to use their spring kit? I thought they were good for...

    is it thet easy, throw some clay on a piston put it together and spin the motor? Its still in the car so it will be a little harder than if it was on a stand ,but I guess your right its the only way to know for sure. I just hate to buy the rockers only to find out they dont work and have to try...

    Ane one know if I will have any p.t.v. clearance problems with 1.7 rockers on gt-40 heads and tfs stage one cam ? I think cam specks say a max lift of 510 I know 1.6s are ok, but came across a great deal on the 1.7s, thanks for any help.
