Ford is going over the edge.

This of course is running all over the internet. The way BMC is telling the story, that Ford speciffically called and told CafePress they cannot print the BMC calendar, when in fact, Ford advised CafePress last year that they can no longer print anything that will infringe on their trademarks...

    Time to sell, need advice

I agree, put in on Ebay. Restomods do very well if done right. Zookeeper, I am pretty sure the longest for autos is 20 days.

What is a mint '04 Mystic Cobra worth?

4,000 mile car? If he would sell for $27, I would jump all over it. Mystic or not, that would be a good price for an unmolested 4,000 mile '04.

How much should I pay for a paint job

You got that right. Don't think there is a true understanding here what really goes into a Quality Show Car paint job or maybe what a finished Show Car Paint should really look like. Cost me over $6K just to fix up some things on my '67, and it started out pretty darn nice to start with.

    Fox vs. SN95

As a previous owner of several SN95 cars, I personally feel as a DD, they have it all over the Fox. The feel is totally different. The engine is a different animal indeed. There is little low end TQ, it's power band is in the upper R's. Contrary to popular opinion, there are plenty of bolt-ons...

my brother got the fastback bug and can't find one

Isn't that the truth. If he wants one in real good shape, it will be tough to find for that.

    Best solvent for parts washer?

As stated above, lacquer thinner evaporates quickly, has a low flash point, will dissolve or ruin paint and is a bitch on your hands. The cost makes it nearly prohibitive. I have used Mineral Spirits for years to clean parts and it has always worked well.

Is stainless OK for restoration nuts & bolts?

For any of the concurs classes you will get dinged for stainless fasteners unless they were original to the car. The only reason to go stainless is for bling factor. The original type fasteners will hold up for longer then you may own the car. When my 67 was restored, many of the original 39...

Help with my VIN Tag Please!!

It is not illegal to duplicate the tag, since it is not legal to use it for identification purposes. It was used only as a warranty tag. Marti will duplicate it with no problem. Many people including myself have Marti tags. If you have the original, keep it safe, so if you ever sell the car...

I was scratching my hairless head when I saw that. I was wondering if I was going to be the first person to point that out, but sadly, you beat me to it.

    Options for redoing front seats?

OEM seat covers for 96 may not be available from Ford. I know my 96 Cobra covers were obsoleted 3 years ago. If this is the case, you may have to go aftermarket.
