    And how much is a retro-fit cam plus stock lifters, dogbones, and spyder retainers? There really isn't much difference. When you're building an engine, you're spending thousands, what's an extra hundred or two?

    The only factory heads that Ford made for a small block Ford that are worth a damn are the GT-40's. The next step down are the E7's, which came on all base 302's from 87-up. They're still not that great.

    Racer Walsh has high durometer rubber bushings and aluminum bushings. www.espo.com has polyurethane shackle-to-frame bushings.

    You could think of it that way, but can you get Magnum 500 wheels with 4.75" backspacing (or whatever would be needed)? I guess it's just me, but I don't consider trimming or rolling the fenderlip a big deal if it means getting some more rubber under there. But, to each his own.

    Why don't you run 15 x 7's and 225/50R15's up front, and 15 x 8's and 245's or wider in the rear?

    do you have any idea how hard it is to stop a speeding II with stock wheels?

    I'd be scared to go 115 with 9" rotors.

    Foxes have about a 4.98" backspacing. And I know the II brakes are bad, but not THAT bad.
