Use the Fox Body upper strut Mounts. I will take pics to show you what I did. Get the ones with spherical moveable bearings. It took me about 2 hours to mod these to work, they work great! To get the Tacoma struts to work I cut out the inside of the upper A-Arm, sold those. I then modded...

Sorry I haven't updated this like I said I would. I have been extremely busy. I am a teacher, I have four kids, two of which are 6 month old twins and I am working on my masters. So you may see why I haven't had time to reply to much lately. Now onto the swap. Everything in this setup has...

I think it is easier to work on strut suspensions, it is my daily driver, I want a nice ride. I think strut suspensions give the best ride out there. In the future, when it is all done, it will be super easy to work on, if I ever need to. Sure I am putting a lot of work in it right now, but...

Struts up front It has taken me over a month to get to this point now. Having 4month twins, a two year old, a four year old, married, workig full time and working on my masters degree has slowed my progress down. Anyway, here are some pics of what it looks like. I am using my Torque Thrust...

Not a racer This is my daily driver and I want to make it so it is easy to work on. I personally like th strut cars better. Each to his own I guess. Everything I have worked on has the struts and I personally like the ride better. Sure, if I was going to race or use it as a dragster I would...

Scratch that idea I am going away from the Tacoma Strut Conversion and focusing on a strut conversion like that of RRS. I have the parts coming to my house and the best thing is that I am under $450 for a complete front end strut system. After I am done I will have: Billstein Struts...

I found that the springs are 14" uncompressed and they are rated at 455lbs. Even at this rate they are way to stiff. Newer mustangs are rated at 300lbs with their struts. I am leaning more towards this. I may get the coilover sleeves and 10" springs. I guess I will be shooting in the dark...

any info. on taurus rack&pinion swap

I have the Taurus R&P in my car and I love it. I used the 67 ps pump. I moved the mount points for the tie rods up 1.5" in the spindle. Turning radius is a little bigger, but not so bad I would throw it out. I have the article from Mustang Illustrated, just send me a email or pm and I will...

AFCO makes coil over sleeves. I was thinking about getting their 10in springs and some 7in sleeves. This would also give me some adjustability. Total cost would put me at $200 for the springs and sleeves. I like the tacoma struts because they mount in the three upper shock tower mounts (with...

Anybody have any idea what spring rate should be up front on a mustang with struts? I read the newer 5.0's have a rate of 300lbs/in. Let me know what you guys think. I will try to have more pics soon. I will be posting all of my info on the Taurus R&P conversion as well.

I will have to measuere them, but I am sure I want the 14". When they say they are lbs per inch, what does that mean. I am looking at some rated at 100lbs/in. AFCO: AFCOIL-14in. 100 C/O VM FINISH - Sale Would this be the ones I would want or something beefier? Thanks.

I have some other pictures, not much to show the mount point. We have decided to bring it down to our house. We have someone about 4 blocks from where we live that said we can store it at their place so it is still covered. I am going to work on the mounting design for the bottom part. I...
