    question about 87-89 mustang

I think an automatic and a carpeted dash might negate the mileage factor :D ...and if it's a hatchback that makes it even worse

How much room for improvement? Help

Vic Jrs are costing a lot of port velocity on that setup.

new stang...need some advice on setup

stock heads? I wouldn't even get a TB. No larger than 65mm if you really want to get one. For the MAF meter, I'd go with a C&L 73 or 76mm or a Pro-M 75mm. This car was bone stock when you got it? .

    8.8 traction lok rebuild question

I rebuild them with 8 clutches and only 6 steel spacers. Usually end up reusing the stock shim on each side.

    3" exhaust???

I'm only going 3" to the mufflers and then reusing my 2-1/2" catback. That's what Kooks and Dr.Gas recommended. I don't know how much torque the poly mounts are good for. I'm not chancing it, I've got HPM solids to put in. JMO

Let update the 1/4 mile list.

I know I'm in the 94/95 forums, but I'd like to put this in anyway: 92 5spd Notch - 14.94 @ 94.2 (Bone stock, no bolt-ons, no gears, no weight reductions, no advanced timing, air silencer still in the fender, on regular street tires) I just thought it'd be neat to compare to all the...

    My Intake decision

Which aspects of the cam profiles makes the TFS Stage 1 better than the Lunati-51027? other than the cost difference.

think 300 rwhp n/a is possible??

Yeah, you should shutup...J/K dude :D IMO the Windsor Jr's are a lot better than any stock head could ever hope to be. Even with the bigger valves, the runner volume is still to constricting. Plus the Jr's have a much smaller combustion chamber. Kind of you to offer though.

    In Your Opinon...

If you're getting a 347 to start with, I'd definitely want the turbo. Especially for the street. Very stealthy. A high CR 347 will be heard for blocks away, but a turbo 347 would be a nice sleeper. Go to the track and watch the SSO races. When 2 turbo cars run, the loudest thing is the...

    gear question

The used gears should be fine as long as they're out of a factory ford setup. I'm not sure I'd go for used aftermarket gears. All of the factory and FMS gears can be installed with your factory shims. I've seen 3 different guys running FMS gears pull out the trak-loc and put in a spool and...

think 300 rwhp n/a is possible??

the XE270 and the street heat are quite a bit better than an e-cam and a gt40 setup. Windsor Jr's have 58cc chambers. Raising the CR wouldn't take much. A cam change alone would probably put you near or over 300. I made 280 with my old setup and that was with the stock TB.

    351 headers

I'm thinking 1-3/4 will be a little small for that many inches. Call Kooks and ask. I'm betting they tell you 1-7/8-->2" step headers. Guess it'll depend on your heads and RPM. They sent me 1-7/8 for my N/A 408 @ 7200rpm with AFR 225's. The difference between the Fox & SN95 headers are...

ebay fan, to buy or not, looks good

2700 can be done with that fan. The Flex-A-Lite Black Magic moves 2800. I got twin 12" s-blades for mine on eBay. Same brand as these. I forget how much they'll pull, but I went with them because they're only half as thick as the 16". If you haven't already been there, you can compare the...

How does this look for a mild 331

What's wrong with the valve reliefs that are already there? :D That looks like a very competitive price, but I agree with the others: go local. You'll probably spend $250 or so to ship it...and then the first time you have any issues, you can spend it again to ship it back to them. They...
