Used price for a TFS Street heat

Can somebody give me a heads up on the going rate for a good used TFS street heat intake? It's the upper and lower both. A guy has one for sale locally. I usually see what they go for on the bay, but I didn't have any luck looking on there.

What would i gain by going to 1.7 Roller rockers?

I see...I was thinking the stockers were the 1.5's. I stand corrected.

65mm or 70mm throttle body for my setup?

Probably has a tuner or a MAF calibrated for them. Either that or he's running super low fuel pressure.

What would i gain by going to 1.7 Roller rockers?

IIRC, the stock rockers are 1.5:1. The 1.7:1 will yield .503 lift. A 1.6:1 will yield .474. Now if the stockers were 1.6:1 with a .444 (lift @ valve w/1.6) cam and you switched to 1.7:1 you would have .472 lift.

    Which ones are those? P/N???

    Pulling engine...what should I replace?

I would clean the motor out really well. You may as well pop the whole thing apart and check bearings too. You could also have it hot tanked to clean all the sludge off. Gaskets all around would be good, that way you don't have to worry about it later.

    Valve covers...

Usually the interference is in the baffle. You just grind or pry out the baffle plate and they are usually fine.

    What do you guys think??

X2 For $2k you can get a nice built C-4 or a whole setup to switch to a good 5-speed. Just start researching for good trannies(not the ones with stuff that hangs). Also, manuals are alot more fun on the street :D Also, if you can get your skills dialed in you can earn some serious respect...

Uh...heads, cam, intake...All of which can be done with the motor in the car.

    What do you guys think??

I would say f*&^ it and drive it till it pops. Chances are is will run for quite some time as long as you keep your fluid clean. I might suggest changing it a time or two in the next couple thousand miles just to sort of wash the crud out.

    EFI conversion?

I would suggest getting a truck or van harness as you'll probably be able to get one easier/cheaper. It also offers convenient through fire-wall mounting where the plug part of the ECU actually sticks into the engine bay allowing for sort of a quick disconnect for motor removal. Not sure what...

    heads and compression ratio formula?

Call the vendor and find out if you can get the head with springs for your setup. Also, if you are by chance looking at KB's for pistons, you can punch in head size with the piston you want and it will compute the CR for you. I'm going to be running 10.2:1 with 60cc chambers and KB9925's

Someone with headers off, please duplicate this photo for me!!

Are you looking at a forward or rear mount (k-member relative)??? I bet you could fit a turbo above your sway bar if you tuck it in a little tight to the motor.

What would i gain by going to 1.7 Roller rockers?

I would run 1.6's. If you can get the 1.7's cheap enough then get them. If it comes down to it you could always re-sell them. By putting the 1.7's on your stock setup it would be similar to having the smallest Motorsports cam. It will net about .500 lift which will help your combo breath...

    Late model dizzy 5.0 = 5.8

So I just compared my cam position sensor from my Explorer motor to my 5.0 dizzy and my 351W dizzy. The CPS matches the 351W. That's good new to me since I want to run EDIS on both my 351W and my 5.0L. Just thought I would share that...

Check on Trick Flow's site. Chances are, if they will work, they share the same P/N.

do Merker XR4Ti seats bolt into a mustang

I'm almost positive they do. Almost all Ford seat bases are the same bolt pattern. I would speculate the Merkur would be the same. If not, some simple brackets would adapt them.
