My dad's a royal pain in my @ss!!!!

Be bluant, don't beat around the bush(no pun intended Frankenstang). Go right up to him and ask him if you two could talk about your plans for the car. Express how much you would like it if the two of you could do a engine build up together. Tell him you think it would help you respect the car...

    Rear Wheel Bearings in 5.0?

If your going through all the trouble of pulling out the shafts. You might as well replace all of the bearings in there. Would suck to get those in to find out it was the pinion bearing clicking from the wrong pre-load being set.

Looks good but, I wonder what it would look like without the tribal graphics and just the air brushed flames. Nice though! Good work.

My dad's a royal pain in my @ss!!!!

ryan218... Why don't you just talk your dad into helping you build your first motor. early 302 blocks are cheap and good parts to put in them are all over the place. Maybe he'll like the idea of you two building a engine together. Then when your older you'll have your 302 and a good trans ready...

TB coolant bypass, does it work??

Should only take the coolant 5 min. to heat up to 130* and fully warmed up by 15min. If the air outside is 50-60* it will help warm the air quickly. You asked the same question I did and that is the respones they gave me.

    Rear Wheel Bearings in 5.0?

I take it you don't want to take the time to put the rear on stands to find out where the sound is REALLY coming from. Here's a link you can try that will help show you a method of finding that sound without having to jack and place your ride on stands...

    Longer pushrods for Gt40 heads?

I take it you have irons and not the pedistal mount aluminums. Have you installed them with the stock pushrods and checked the contact patch on the valve tip. See where it is and it should tell you what direction to go. Always get new pushrods regardless of how the stock ones look, you never...

    Quadshock/tire problem not normal question

Lower pivot point has the bolt you turn facing the inside of the car(towards the center). Top mount is just a nut that goes on the frame welded stud. Besure to use a lot of 3 in 1 oil before you start wrenching.

    Rear Wheel Bearings in 5.0?

Have you tried to put it on the jack stands to see exactly where the sound is coming from?

    Best head for bottom end

New pushrods should always be on the list when doing a swap. Not, saying that the stock ones wont hold up, you just never know when a weak one is going to bend. You can't tell if it's weakend by just looking at it. Also, check your lifters while your in there, pull them out keeping them in order...
